Claimed By The Lycan King (Kaia) novel Chapter 29

Chapter 29

Kaia's POV

My mind wouldn’t stop running around. All I could think of now was wearing his mark.

The feeling of his teeth grazing my neck, sucking gently, savoring it like he had been waiting for this day, and finally sinking into it—marking me as his grand prize. Anything is what I could do for that feeling.

Throwing my head back as I stared into space, his scent still lingered in the air, his face played endlessly in my head, My attention remained fixated on the ceiling as the door suddenly swung open.

“Well… someone looks dreamy…” Dani teased as she approached the bed.

Kieran left after I assured him that I was okay and I was fine staying with the girls.

“Hmn yeah, the bed also looks kind of wrinkled. Don’t you think, Dani?” Allie added, her tone filled with sarcasm.

My gaze remained on the empty space as a small smile crept onto my lips. I knew exactly what they were playing at, and I could almost roll my eyes to the back of my head—if I actually didn’t want what they were saying right now.

Because I did.

“Calm down.” My gaze finally darted to Allie as I shook my head softly.

“Oh, please, like we wouldn’t know if you guys had a quickie.” Allie smirked, crossing her arms.

“Stop, you guys. You’re thinking too far right now,” I protested, a mix of nervousness and shy chuckles escaped my lips.

Dani’s eyes locked onto mine, and I instantly knew I was in trouble. A mischievous smirk crept onto the corner of her lips—she knew me too well.

“As if… It’s all over your face, Kaia. You want him—bad. Don’t let that two-faced slimy bitch make you feel bad if you think he’s stalling,” Dani said, her hands resting on my shoulders reassuringly.

He said he wouldn’t choose another mate, he said he wanted me . I want to believe all of that,

I let out a small chuckle, but before I could respond, Dani blurted out, “Besides, I can tell that he totally wants to fuck you too.”

“Dani!” I shouted, my face heated up instantly. My stomach couldn’t help but jump at her words, I was already having dirty thoughts and all she was doing was amplifying them.

But is this how bad I wanted him?

“What? It has to be said. No lies—there’s tension between you two. And you need to ease it, fast.” She winked.

“But not on my bed,” Allie added playfully.

I facepalmed myself in embarrassment while they both chuckled at the way my cheeks flushed.

“It’s fine, there’s nothing to be shy about. If he isn’t coming to you, go to him. Pull out that sexy side of you and take your man,” Dani urged, her eyes gleamed with mischief.

I turned to Allie, almost like I was waiting for her approval.

She shrugged. “If you want something, you gotta go for it.”

But why would I have to go to him? Why couldn’t he come to me?

*******

Later that evening, I stood by the window in our room, staring at the moonlight that seeped softly into the dimly lit room. The night air felt cool against my skin, but the warmth pooling in my chest had nothing to do with the temperature.

lingered in the air unanswered, my fingers absently traced my neck—his mark. Or rather, the spot where it should be.

If there was anything I wanted more than life itself, it was to wear his mark.

His words played in my head, over and over again.

“I want you to be ready”

But I had been ready all along.

A sudden memory flashed through my mind—shopping with the girls, the way I bit my lips and struggled to hold back, while I pushed to buy something I never imagined myself wearing.

My heart pounded at the thought, but the idea settled down in my stomach,

Before I could second-guess myself, I turned away from the window and rushed to my vanity mirror.

My mind couldn’t comprehend that he was right there, standing and watching me in this clown fit I put myself into. I felt more stupid than when the idea even popped up in the first place.

“I—i can’t explain, I…” he cut me off softly

“You look beautiful,” He mouthed, his eyes softened as his eyes wouldn’t leave my body. Was he liking this?

He took a slow step forward, his eyes never left mine.

“What are you doing?” His tone was strained, but there was something else beneath it. Something deeper. Something raw.

I parted my lips to answer, but no words came out. Because truly, what was I planning to do? The intensity in his stare pinned me in place, it just made my walls tingle, and butterflies bubble up in my stomach.

Then, in a flash, he was in front of me, his fingers tilting my chin up until our eyes met.

“Fuck! Bella.” His voice was low, almost a whisper, “you’re punishing me, knowing well that you aren’t ready.”

I swallowed hard. “Maybe I am ready.”

His breath seized, but he was holding back the excitement in his eyes. He wanted it too, I could tell, I could see it.

“You’re playing a dangerous game, I don’t want you to force yourself” His voice was soft, but his jaw clenched, his hands balled into fists at his sides like he was restraining himself.

My confidence just bubbled back, I wasn’t fooling myself. I was on the right track,

I moved closer to him, my breasts touched his chest, “Maybe I want to play this game.”

His eyes darkened further. “I want to play” And just like that, the last thread of restraint snapped.

His hands wrapped around my throat, a small escaped my lips, before he crashed his lips on mine

My world spunned.
