Chapter 103

Unknown POV -Nessa

“It's the Luna, she's the healer." I told Felix, entering the cabin we usually met in and I watched as his jaw clenched.

“Kieran's mate is a healer? The white wolf?"

I mean I was surprised as well, considering how long I've tried to figure out what secret they were hiding. Using the poison on myself was a risk I took but with my stepmom being unable to shut her mouth, I didn't want to delay it anymore.

Felix needed to get his plan moving…and for the first time, he decided to involve me. Besides, playing the sweet innocent girl was becoming exhausting.

I probably should've come up with a better excuse than not feeling well…but how was I supposed to know that she was going to snoop around looking for my house.

“Because she's not the bad person.” My subconscious mind told me.

So…it wasn't like I had anything against Kaia, she's nice and all, maybe too trusting. But she was the easiest and fastest way to get to Kieran and then to his parents…safe to say she was just unlucky with finding a mate.

Coming up with stories about my parents sounded bitter coming out of my mouth but I needed to get her attention off it and present myself as vulnerable which she bought when I let out a few tears…I might have also included one or two convincing spells…but whatever, that solved part of the problem.

“Are we…you still paying her a visit?” I asked Felix.

A smirk appeared at the corner of his lips, “well, it would be rude not to show honour to a rare breed." He said.

“I scoffed, "as long as you get it done.”

I hated having to wait for his sluggish ass to get things done. It would've been easier if I had my familiar…hopefully she was a Raven like my mom, but that wouldn't happen until I was eighteen. But why wait when I could get it done now?

“You know you risked exposing everything we have planned with what you did."

If at all there was any risk, it was letting his men act on their own and getting caught. Using spells inside the Pack was what I'd describe as being risky.

“I had to find out one way or the other…and now, they're out there looking for someone totally different from you.” I told him, avoiding the urge to roll my eyes.

He nodded, "that should keep them distracted for now.” he said and I agreed.

We waited a little bit, about what he was going to do once he found her because right now, he was sounding starstruck which I really don't care about as long as she was out of the picture.

Once we were done, I made my way back to the house, thinking about my first meeting with Felix. I had been practicing my spells using the book…the last thing my parents gave me. They had started teaching me early, so it wasn't that difficult.

I remembered crying and swearing to myself to make everyone involved in my family's separation pay. Turns out we had the same goal. Although I never asked him

the reason he wanted to get back at their entire family as long as we achieved our goal…I was fine not knowing.”

Allie had a frown on her face also. It was as if something was going on. Because normally they would be greeting me with smiles…except for the time Allie got her heart broken.

“Hi, Allie."

She let out a groan, falling beside Dani. "Keep that cheerfulness away from me, I can't deal with it.” She said.

"Did something happen?” Dani asked, and my ears perked upward, waiting to hear what she was going to say.

“Dylan is driving me crazy and Ryder is driving me even crazier. I think I should stay away from boys and any appearance of them." She complained and I rested my back against the couch. “Why did I think that she was going to give me anything?"

I tuned them out as they continued their conversation. I thought about the best way to ask about Kaia without coming off as suspicious.

“Allie," I called and both of them turned to face me. “Do you think I can see Luna? I still haven't thanked her yet.”

They looked at each other, "I'm sure she knows how grateful you are. And she'll be out in a few days.” Allie replied.

When I saw that nothing was working and they weren't paying attention to me, I told them goodbye and was on my way. I needed to perfect my skills and whatever information I would need later, I could get it from Kaia when she was out.

Hopefully, by the time I was done, and the smile was drained off the faces of the Lycan family and I found my parents, they would realize just how easy it was. But for now, I still had a lot of things I needed to get done and now, I was at a crucial point.
