Chosen By The Moon (Dylan) novel Chapter 414

Lewis growled and fought with the men holding him, while I simply adjusted my uniform, and my crown, then wiped the blood off of my arm that had began to drip slightly due to my old beta puncturing my skin with his teeth.

"You killed her..." Lewis screamed, furious at my story, but I simply smiled. I finally had the reaction I craved from him. "She loved you... She really loved you, and you tortured her."

"Love means nothing to me... power is what I need. When I discovered Iliana was mated to you, I knew our partnership would never work. I needed my fated mate, the one the goddess Luna chose to be my queen..." I turned my attention to the executioner and waved my hand with ease, barking my order before stepping down to command the news crew. "Tie him down!"

"Your grace." The news anchor bowed low to me, before gesturing to her camera set up. "We are ready to go live whenever you give the word." She swallowed thickly, even this stupid lady now feared me.

"You May start it." I made my way back to the stage, where I stood next to the prisoner. Lewis's head remained down cast, and his wrists were now not only cuffed, but were connected to the stage floor, it was impossible for him to move. I watched as his top was ripped open and his torso lay bare for the world to see.

The news anchor began to talk into the lens with her microphone pointed at her lips, jabbering on about how the station was 'as regular as the moon changes.' It was a stupid pathetic tag line, but it set me up for the execution.

I noticed her move away from the camera and knew that the camera had zoomed onto my being, so I stepped forward to announce the much anticipated death of the former Royal Beta Lewis.

My heart stopped as I watched the speeding bullet directly hit my executioners head. I was, in honesty in awe at her accuracy and the sheer gall of my queen. The bullet flew straight through the skull of my warrior and out of his forehead, splattering blood directly onto Lewis's stunned face. The man I had ordered to carry out the death, suddenly slumped, right in front of my prisoner and the heads of everyone zoomed to Dylan.

Her determination was unnerving, and I realized just how she had managed to gain so much respect.

"Welcome back... My Queen!"
