Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) novel Chapter 663

"You guessed it right. I think it's fun." The man chuckled, and gripped her chin. He was wearing black gloves. "Close your eyes."

"What are you going to do?"

The more he demanded she closed her eyes, the more afraid she became. She was scared of what he might do once they were shut.

He seemed to read her mind. "If I wanted to do something to you, would keeping your eyes open make any difference? Be a good girl and follow my instructions."

He cupped her face with both hands, and squeezed it hard. "Be careful of the little bastard in your belly."

His tone was exceptionally gentle, but every word carried an unparalleled cruelty. Rosalie could only comply and closed her eyes.

The man released her face.

Suddenly, Rosalie felt a cloth being placed over her eyes.

After blindfolding her, the man grabbed her arm and led her out of the room.

Rosalie had no idea where he was taking her. She only knew she had climbed into a car. She couldn't tell how long they drove. She had lost all sense of time.

Later, she was pulled out of the car.

The man hoisted her over his shoulder and took her somewhere, where she was then tied to a metal pole.

Rosalie knew that saying anything would be useless. If the man didn't want to talk, asking him questions was pointless. She would rather conserve her energy.

After tying her up, the man left.

After a while, Rosalie suddenly heard a woman's voice pleading, "I did everything you asked. Please, let me go!"

Rosalie was shocked by the voice. Wasn't that Laila's voice?

There was a loud thud as the man kicked her. He then pressed his foot down on her shoulder.

"Ah!" Laila screamed in pain.

"You wretched gambler. You had the kidnappers abduct your niece just to save your own skin! If it weren't for me, she would've been raped and killed by now. And yet, you still expect me to keep my word? You think you deserve that, you filthy woman? You make me sick! You're trash, and you dare to accuse others?"

Hearing this, Rosalie was even more puzzled. If this man hadn't instructed Laila to have her kidnapped, then what had she done according to his orders?

Rosalie heard the sound of repeated thuds and Laila's cries of pain. It was clear the man was beating her.

Rosalie's palms were slick with sweat. Even though she hated Laila for selling her out to the kidnappers, the fact that this man was a psychopath was undeniable.

So far, he had killed the kidnappers and tortured her aunt. He hadn't laid a hand on her yet, but she couldn't be sure he wouldn't suddenly turn on her.

There was no logic or pattern to a madman's actions.
