Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) novel Chapter 655

The other thugs huddled together in fright, looking at the man in black in fear.

“Our chief’s dead. Please spare us! We’re just insignificant minions who simply do as we are told! Please!”

“So you’re innocent?” The man in black inched toward them step by step.

“Don’t…don’t… Don’t come close, don’t come close…” The thugs shook in fear.

Although he was just one man, the man in black was armed. His every move made him look like a fearsome demon, not at all human.

“What are you scared of? Aren’t you thugs supposed to be fierce and vicious? I, like this lady, am only one person. Why are you so scared of me?” The man in black suddenly thought of something, and said, “Oh, right. It’s because of the gun I’m holding. That’s why you’re so scared of me.”

They were scared of the gun!

The man in black kept his gun in the holster strapped, on his waist and extended his arms. “I’ve put my gun away now. Are you still scared of me?”

Rosalie’s eyes widened in shock. Was this man crazy? How would the thugs still be scared of him without his gun? He was just one person. How could he stand against all of them?

She truly felt that this man was crazy. Be it his actions or his words, they were all not that of an ordinary man.

Rosalie stood up cautiously, wanting to flee. Suddenly, the man in black said, “Woman, if you dare step out of the door, I’ll shoot the back of your head.”

Although the man in black had his back toward Rosalie, he could sense her wanting to escape, as if he had eyes at the back of his head.

Rosalie didn’t dare risk her baby, and could only stand where she was.

The thuds were shocked, so stunned by the man in black that they were frozen on the spot. Yet, when they saw him keeping his gun, they started exchanging glances with each other.

The thugs were writhing on the floor in pain. The man in black approached the thug nearest to him, stomped on his foot and grabbed his hair, lifting his head up.

There was a knife in his hand, which he pierced the thug’s face with. He then pulled it out ruthlessly, spewing blood all over the place.

Shrieks of pain filled the place.

It was all too bloody for Rosalie, who was so frightened she put her hands over her eyes, not daring to witness the scene.

Bam, bam, bam!

Gunshots sounded by her ear—and then, it was silent. The shrieks of pain vanished without a trace.

Rosalie opened her eyes slowly, and saw all the thugs lying on the ground. The strong metallic smell of blood filled her nose and her stomach churned. She turned around, and puked her guts out.
