Sebastian's head was still throbbing. He drank a lot last night also because he wanted to drown his sorrows.
He stared at the woman on the bed, the look in her eyes empty like a lifeless doll.
Sebastian gently caressed her hair and stood up to walk to the washroom.
When he returned last night, he went to bed straight away without showering.
He brushed his teeth and took a shower in the washroom. After he was done, he wiped himself dry and returned to the bed, wrapping Rosalie in his arms once more.
"Darling, things have come to this point and you can't change anything. You should just accept things the way they are. This country is quite beautiful. Let me take you out for a walk."
His voice was very gentle, like a lover mumbling words of affection.
Rosalie didn't respond to him, as if she were a corpse.
Sebastian went on, "Do you want to be tied to the bed, unable to move your entire life? How long are you going to be stubborn like this? Darling, let me wash you up and brush your teeth. We'll have lunch, then I'll take you out for a stroll. I'll untie the rope on your hands now. Don't move, alright?"
Rosalie remained silent, and Sebastian took it as an agreement. He went ahead to untie the rope binding her hands.
The scuff marks on her wrists broke Sebastian's heart. Her hands were injured from being cuffed previously and the wound never recovered. How could they possibly recover when he continued to bind her wrists like this?
He didn't want to tie her up like this, but she refused to behave. Had she behaved well, he wouldn't have needed to be so violent with her.
He felt guilty, but he had no choice but to do so.
The video wasn't long, lasting only around a minute. After the video stopped, Sebastian flung his phone aside.
"Rose, see that? Your son is so adorable. Don't forget you still have a son. Will you be able to face him in such a pathetic state? Justin is dead, but you're still a mother. Are you not going to care about your son? Or do you want me to kill him, too?"
The mention of killing Steve agitated Rosalie. "Don't hurt him."
"You don't want me hurting your son, but you refuse to submit to me. What do you expect me to do?" Sebastian looked at her, conflicted. "Rose, I gave you many options, but you always come to me with such a foul attitude. I have a heart and I feel pain, too. I'll get angry, and if I do, I lose control of myself easily."
He grabbed the back of Rosalie's neck. "Do you want me to send someone to kill off your son? I'll be interested to see if Theodore can protect him well. Your son is still so young. It'll be a pity if he were to lose his life at such a young age, all because his mother refused to be obedient."
Overwhelming hatred made Rosalie lose her mind. She no longer found herself surprised by what Sebastian was capable of.
