After Theodore calmed down, he looked up and said toward the door, "Someone, come in."
The bodyguard walked in. "Mr. Spencer, how can I assist you?"
"Contact my father and tell him I have urgent matters to discuss. Ask him to come over."
"Understood."
The bodyguard immediately went out to make the call. After a while, he returned, saying, "Mr. Theodore, I couldn't reach Mr. Wesley. His phone is turned off."
"Can't reach him?"
The bodyguard nodded. "Yes. His phone is switched off."
"Keep trying. Call the company, call his home. We need to find him."
Theodore suddenly had an ominous premonition.
-
Wesley slowly opened his eyes, smelling a faint floral fragrance.
He sat up from the bed and turned his head to see a diffuser nearby. It was letting off a swirling mist. Feeling a bit dizzy, and he glanced at the unfamiliar surroundings.
He got out of bed. Where was this place?
Just then, the door opened, and Yerick walked in. "Godfather, you're awake."
"Yerry, where are we? Didn't we just have dinner?"
He remembered that he had been having dinner with Yerick when he received a call from the hospital saying Theodore was in critical condition. He had wanted to rush over, but he suddenly felt lightheaded and passed out, only to wake up here.
"Godfather, we were having dinner, but you fainted, so I quickly took you away."
"But this isn't my house. Where are we?"
Yerick slowly lowered his gaze, sighed, and sat down on a chair.
"Godfather, today is the anniversary of my mother's death. I was supposed to visit her in the afternoon, but you fainted, and I had to take care of you. Now it's already dark outside. My mother must be waiting for me."
"Your...your mother's death anniversary?" Wesley felt a pang of sadness in his heart. "Then… Where is she buried? I can go with you."
"Go with me?" Yerick glanced out the window at the dark sky. "Would you be willing?"
"Of course, I would. I'm your godfather. It's only right for me to pay respect to your mother. Let's go together. We'll buy her some flowers on the way."
Wesley's voice held a hint of excitement.
"Alright, Godfather. Go wash your face first, and we'll head out to see my mom right away."
Wesley went to the bathroom to wash his face. Looking at himself in the mirror, he let out a sigh. His heart was filled with countless sorrows.
Although Yerick's mother Janet Zeller had already passed away and he would only be visiting her tombstone, he still felt guilty deep inside.
