Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) novel Chapter 1188

Night fell.

Aurora and Angie were finishing up their dinner.

Aurora didn’t have much appetite, but Angie ate quite a lot. Her stomach bulged out as she lounged on the couch, scrolling through her phone and not bothering to help with washing up.

Aurora shook her head helplessly as she stacked all the dirty plates up and washed them at the sink.

“Angie, I’m going back to my room. Have a good rest.”

“Got it,” Angie said without even looking up, engrossed in the novel she was reading.

Aurora returned to her room and pulled out her phone. She couldn’t stop herself from texting Theodore.

[Theo, what are you doing now? How’re you doing?]

A few minutes later, Theodore replied, [I’m doing quite well. What about you? If you need any help, feel free to reach out.]

[I know, Theo.] Aurora wanted to say more, but she was worried about disturbing and annoying him, so she simply replied with an emoji.

Ten minutes later, Theodore texted her back. [Aurora, what I told you at Grandma’s previously still applies now. You deserve a better man.]

Aurora’s hand trembled.

She bit her lip and tried her best to keep her emotions under control. She threw her phone aside, refusing to reply to Theodore.

‘He can forget about dumping me!’ she thought.

After spending the next hour in a disoriented and groggy state, Aurora took a shower and lay on the bed.

“I just want to, and I want to scold the author,” Angie said self-righteously.

Aurora scratched her head. How was this considered reading? Angie was just venting her frustrations due to her dissatisfactory life.

Each time she heard Angie’s curses toward the novel she was reading, Aurora would become more certain that Angie had a screw loose.

Angie behaved as though she knew the story better than the author and was highly arrogant. She would guess how the story would unfold and be smug when she guessed right, or scold the author incessantly if she got it wrong, eventually coming to hate the story she was so obsessed over.

“Then just read and be quiet while you’re at it. I’m trying to sleep.” If Aurora weren’t woken up by Angie, she wouldn’t have bothered talking to her.

“Aurora, look. So many people are speaking up for me,” Angie said smugly as she showed Aurora the comments on her phone screen. “I knew I wasn’t fighting this battle alone.”

Angie went on with a smile, “Look, this user account ending with 1001 and this one ending with 0721 have such foul mouths. Hahaha, I was the one scolded and I’m not getting anxious, but they’re acting like my minions and fighting for me. Especially 0721. She’s almost becoming like me, bootlicking me and following me everywhere I go like she’s my dog. She listens to everything I say. Do you think she’s in love with me? Hahaha, they're so stupid! My heart aches for the male lead. I don’t care if he sleeps with other women, but the female lead must remain loyal and chaste.”
