Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore) novel Chapter 1176

After the door closed, Rosalie turned and walked into the living room.

She saw Justin standing there, quietly watching her.

Rosalie gave him a small smile.

"Justin, it's getting late. You should rest early," she said.

"Rose, did those two give you a lot of trouble today?" Justin asked.

Rosalie let out a gentle sigh. "It was a bit troublesome, but at least it distracted me from thinking about Grandma. Now that they've left, I'm starting to think about it again."

Seeing that Rosalie was on the verge of tears, Justin immediately stepped forward. "Should I call them back? With their constant bickering, the house would be lively again."

Rosalie was amused. "That's not what I meant. Don't worry, I'll manage my emotions. This too shall pass. I just want to find evidence to prove Grandma was murdered."

As she said the last sentence, her expression turned somber.

"I'll help you investigate. Until then, I'm not going anywhere," Justin said.

Rosalie lifted her tear-filled eyes to look at him. "Thank you for not acting like them today."

"I don't want to pressure you, so I stay out of such matters. I can tell they both care deeply for you, so they can't help but compete to win your favor."

"I don't need them to win my favor in such a way. I prefer someone like you—calm and quiet."

Justin didn't pressure her and didn't join Sebastian and Yerick in competing for her favor, and she was grateful.

However, the moment she said that, Rosalie regretted it. Her words seemed ambiguous and could easily be misunderstood.

So, she quickly added, "Justin, I mean they don't need to try so hard to please me, and neither do you."

"Rose, you don't need to worry that I'll overthink. My only concern is for your peace of mind. If you'd feel better with me gone, I can leave right now."

Whatever he did, he always prioritized her feelings rather than his own.

Now, Rebecca had passed away, and worse, she had been murdered. What's more, the murderer who killed Rebecca was still being protected by Theodore.

All these chaotic events left Rosalie feeling suffocated.

Suddenly, she clutched her chest as a sharp pain radiated through it. Her body grew weaker, and with a thud, she collapsed to the floor.

At that moment, Steve started crying in the next room.

Hearing her child's cries, Rosalie tried to get up, but the pain in her chest grew unbearable. Her body felt limp, and her head throbbed violently.

"Steve, Mommy's coming... Mommy's coming," Rosalie murmured as she tried to crawl forward, but all her strength seemed to drain away. Darkness clouded her vision, and she fainted.

Justin, who was in the room next door, heard Steve's cries. He immediately walked to Rosalie's bedroom door and gently knocked.

"Rose, is everything alright with Steve?"

However, there was no response from Rosalie.
