Chandra tightened her grip over her phone. "Chris, the Spencers won't find out it's me. Don't worry. I've erased all surveillance footage and all relevant information."

"Mom, don't be too sure about that. The Spencers know about the watch you're wearing. They'll find you in no time."

"What did you say?!" Chandra asked. "How did they know about the watch?"

"Don't bother about that. I'm begging you, tell me where Syd is."

"How intimate, calling her by her nickname! She ruined my daughter and her husband's relationship, and now she's trying to destroy my son too. How could I let a woman like her live?
