The two of them chatted for a long time and before they knew it, the sky had turned dark. Justin told Rosalie to head back.
Rosalie didn't want to disturb Justin from his rest. After cutting him some fruits and leaving them on his table, she left. For some reason unbeknownst to her, she felt very at ease being with him. While they were together, time passed quickly.
When Rosalie reached the entrance of the hospital, she suddenly spotted Theodore standing quietly a short distance away, a cigarette between his fingers. He ran his fingers through his hair and crouched down, looking like he was in great pain.
After hesitating for a moment, Rosalie told the driver, "Please wait for me for a while."
With that, she approached Theodore. "What's wrong?"
The familiar voice made Theodore lift his head. When he saw that it was Rosalie, he immediately stood up.
Rosalie saw the haggard look on his face. "Did you receive your biopsy results? Is it benign or malignant?"
Theodore almost forgot about that. "I haven't had the biopsy."
"Why not? How long are you going to delay it?"
"Something happened to Aurora. She needs a new heart in three days' time."
Rosalie's heart jumped. "Why?"
"Heart failure," Theodore said weakly. "Her name has been brought forward to be first in line, but how could we possibly get a suitable heart donor in three days?"
"What about your child?" Rosalie asked.
"What exactly is your relationship with Aurora, then? Did you bring her here to deliberately upset me, or are you two really a couple? Theodore Spencer, which of your words are truths, and which of them are lies?"
Theodore leaned weakly against the wall and said flatly, "We do have a relationship and we've slept together, but she's not pregnant. Because of her heart condition, I'll never let her be pregnant with my child. I lied to you that she was pregnant just to anger you."
Rosalie smiled bitterly at Theodore, looking at him as though he had lost his mind.
"Theodore Spencer, I had thought you made a mistake because you were momentarily blinded. But now, I know that you were just being wilful. You wilfully thought that I didn't love you, and you wilfully got together with Cynthia and wilfully divorced me.
"After you divorced me, you regretted it and wilfully tried to woo me back, confessing your love for me, and wilfully fighting with Sebastian. After you got injured, you wilfully avoided me, not picking up my calls and refusing to see me or hear me out. After I left, you wilfully ran over to find me, bringing your girlfriend along and wilfully telling me she was pregnant.
"And now, you're wilfully telling me that you lied to me. Theodore Spencer, all these happened because you were too wilful. You only think for yourself and your feelings in everything you do."
