CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery novel Chapter 1879

Throughout the entire wedding dress fitting, Karina wished she could find a hole to crawl into.

Wilfred’s gaze was just too intense, too obvious.

Even the staff helping her try on dresses occasionally glanced in his direction, their curiosity piqued. Karina, already feeling shy, was even more flustered.

While changing into another gown, one of the attendants loosened the laces for her and commented with a tone full of envy, “You two must really love each other.”

Karina paused, unsure how to respond.

The attendant continued, “I’ve worked here for years, and I’ve never seen anyone look at their bride-to-be the way your fiancé does.”

It was as if a jar of honey had tipped into her heart, rippling with sweetness.

Karina tried to appear composed, but the corners of her mouth betrayed her, curving upward uncontrollably. “Is that so?”

Realizing that his gaze was a sign of their deep connection, she stopped feeling embarrassed or avoiding it. When Wilfred looked at her like that again, she simply accepted it with a small smile.

Choosing the final wedding dresses, however, gave her a headache.

Wilfred, ever the problem-solver, waved his hand dismissively. “That’s not an issue—just wear them all.”

Karina shot him a look, exasperated. “People are coming to the wedding, not to watch me do a costume change. There’s no time for all that.”

Before she could finish her protest, Wilfred pulled her close, leaning in to whisper in her ear, his voice low and teasing, “Then just buy them all and wear them for me. Only me.”

Her cheeks flushed red, and she quickly realized that his earlier suggestion was just a setup for this line.

Quietly, she muttered, “Who buys that many wedding dresses?”

Seeing her resistance, Wilfred didn’t push further. He simply smiled and said, “Either way, my wife looks amazing. The more beautiful clothes I buy you, the more I get to enjoy the view.”

Unable to win against his charm, Karina turned her head away, pretending to ignore him.

Despite her attempts to pry, no one spilled the beans.

When she mentioned it to Wilfred, he simply chuckled. “Let them be. Whatever it is, it’s bound to be good-natured.”

On the wedding day, Yvette served as Karina’s maid of honor. She and the other bridesmaids pulled out every trick in the book to keep Wilfred from entering.

Bundles of cash tucked into gift envelopes were slipped through the door, and Karina couldn’t help but laugh at the spectacle.

Yvette proudly patted a tote bag in front of her, smirking. “Good thing we came prepared and brought a bag big enough to hold everything.”

The other bridesmaids chimed in with grins, “Yep, we’ve got this whole operation planned out—keeping the groom out and stirring up some good-natured mischief!”

It was hard to say how many envelopes it took before Yvette finally cracked the door open—just a sliver.
