CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery novel Chapter 1670

No one knew how much longer Pharaoh had, but the moment a child took root in Freya’s womb or an embryo successfully developed, it would bring him a small sense of peace.

Freya and Micah were determined. With the hospital director, Wilfred, personally overseeing their case, there was little room for doubt or objection.

The egg retrieval process was excruciatingly painful for Freya. Micah’s heart ached for her, but he had already spoken with Pharaoh, and Pharaoh silently supported the decision.

Micah felt a deep sense of guilt. “Freya, I’m sorry for putting you through this. You’ve seen Dad’s condition. I just… I don’t want him to…”

He couldn’t finish the sentence. Even as a rational man, defining such a moment for his own father was too difficult.

Freya embraced him, her voice steady and reassuring. “You don’t need to apologize. I’m willing to do this for you, for our family.”

She knew that Micah’s push for this wasn’t selfish. It was out of love and an earnest wish to ease his father’s burden. Freya had no parents of her own, and since marrying Micah, Pharaoh had become her father in every sense. Seeing him in this state, she couldn’t stand by without trying to help.

Micah pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead. “Thank you.”

“It’s nothing.”

Soon after, the two separated to head to their respective departments for the procedures. Meanwhile, Pharaoh was watching over Gemma, surrounded by Orion and Nina.

Nina noticed a ray of sunlight streaming onto Pharaoh, illuminating his face and softening his features. For a moment, he looked peaceful, almost content.

What struck her most was the quiet anticipation in his expression. It wasn’t just about his immediate family, it was about his hopes for all of them. He wanted to see his children settled, with families of their own, before he left.

He wasn’t dating anyone. He had merely seen the person he wanted to see. Watching her thrive, witnessing her happiness—it was enough to make him feel content.

His assistant, however, found the situation perplexing. For someone as exceptional and wealthy as Wilfred, it seemed almost surreal that he had no visible romantic ties. Since joining Wilfred’s team, the assistant had never seen a single woman come close to him.

Wilfred noticed the hesitation in his assistant’s expression and asked calmly, “What’s on your mind?”

The assistant hesitated, then summoned enough courage to ask, “Director, you’ve never had anyone in your life. Is there… someone you can’t let go of?”

The question hung in the air for a moment.

The assistant remembered how, not long ago, his younger sister had met Wilfred and been instantly smitten. She had begged him for Wilfred’s contact information, but knowing Wilfred’s serious and reserved personality, the assistant didn’t dare share it.
