CEO Proposed to His Ex-wife 99 Times novel Chapter 257

So in other words, Marshall and Kyle went to the bar last night, but Kyle blacked out early.

Marshall just called a cab for Kyle, and then had fun on his own.

Katherine nodded slowly, thinking it was fine.

She was a little looking forward to the news from the media.

Will they catch evidence of Marshall cheating?

Kyle stared at Katherine and said, "If you are free, then I will call Hex over, and then you can call Marshall. We four people can play mahjong together."

Katherine said, "Hector will be here soon."

Kyle sat up straight, "Then everything is waiting for Marshall. Hurry up, call Marshall over. My mahjong table is calling us."

He was obviously excited, and he stood up while talking, "I'll wash up and come back right away."

Katherine hurriedly said, "I don’t feel like playing. If you want to have the game, call Marshall yourself."

Kyle paused, then looked at Katherine, "You..."

Even so, Kyle hurried into the room. The door was open. Katherine could see Kyle calling someone.

Kyle was loud, "Marshall, come to my place, let’s play Mahjong, everyone is here but you."

Kyle said as he walked towards Katherine.

Katherine didn't hear what Marshall said at the beginning.

Kyle immediately said, "Isn't it Sunday today? You are on your day off. It's been a long time since we got together to play mahjong, come on."

He walked up to Katherine, and he turned on the hands-free phone so Katherine could hear.

Marshall said, "I have something to do, I can't come."

Clara's voice came from the phone, "Marshall, come and take a bite , it is delicious."

Kyle was stunned, he turned to look at Katherine.

Although Katherine was surprised, she remained calm.

Kyle stuttered, "Marshall, where, where are you?"

Marshall made an evasive answer, "I'm outside."

It was no different from not answering.

Marshall paused, and then said, "I have something to do, I’d like to hang up now."

Then he hung up.

Kyle looked at Katherine with his mouth open, "What's going on? That was Clara, right?"

Katherine nodded, looking innocent, "It sounds so."

Kyle frowned. "What are Marshall and Clara doing together? Was not he on his day off? They shouldn't meet each other."

Katherine smiled, "I don't know. If you ask me, I don't know how to answer."

"You don't even know?" Kyle was a little surprised.

Katherine couldn't answer in detail, there was too much troublesome bullshit between her and Marshall.

Hector arrived, and came upstairs. He saw Kyle was shirtless.

And Katherine sat on the sofa.

Hector frowned, "Kyle, go and put on your clothes."

In Kyle’s mind, nothing could compete with mahjong.

Seeing Hector coming, Kyle completely forgot what had happened just now.

He laughed, "I'll go to wash up right away, wait a second. I can ask a waiter to make up the number, and the game is on."

He hurried into the room.

Hector sat opposite to Katherine, and stared at Katherine, "You don’t look well. What is ailing you?"

Katherine smiled, "I'm fine."

Hector stared at Katherine for a while, and kept quiet.

Kyle was marvelously fast washing up himself. He put on his pajamas, and came out, "Come on, I'm ready for mahjong."

Katherine stood up first, "Let's go."

Marshall paused and replied, "No, there is no need to report such social activities to her."

Clara's expression froze.

She turned back quickly, and after a few seconds she smiled, her voice was deep and gentle, "You are right."

Marshall took a breath, trying to remain calm.

In fact, he was upset.

Clara noticed that Marshall didn't score any.

Marshall was not feeling well, and was absent-minded.

Clara was unhappy seeing Marshall like this.

She wondered if Marshall thought of Katherine, and he cared Katherine so much so he couldn’t stand separating with Katherine for a morning?

After a few stokes, Clara said, "It's late, that’s it for today. How about having lunch together?"

Marshall said, "Okay."

They packed their things and came out of the golf course, which was a bit remote and there were no good restaurants around.

So Marshall drove back to downtown.

Clara sat in passenger seat, and smiled, "Can I move the seat? It’s a bit narrow."

Marshall didn't pay much attention, "Yes."

He drove slowly.

The traffic was not heavy.

He already saw the traffic light.

He didn't know what he was thinking. He wanted to step on the brake, but he stepped on the accelerator when he was at the intersection.

The car leapt forward suddenly.

Clara was scared, and she yelled out.

At the same time, she turned around and jumped onto Marshall.
