Capturing the Millionaire’s Heart on Divorce Day novel Chapter 205

At breakfast, Madison had thoroughly scrolled through Ethan's F******k update from the day before.

The nickname "Love-struck Chairman" almost made her burst into laughter, a giggle she suppressed with care not to seem too bold.

Ethan, now more alert, propped himself up to sit.

His broad, solid frame indeed had the merit Jessica had boasted about, radiating a reliable sense of security.

Madison couldn't resist leaning gently against his shoulder.

Ethan wrapped an arm around her, stroking her back rhythmically, "I might not know the specifics of their procedures. But you can ask me, and I can ask Frank. Besides, for the chief pilot selection, it’s just those few tests. I can take you to the base for some practice."

"Special treatment?"

"If you've got a convenience you're not using, wouldn’t that be foolish?" Ethan released her, getting out of bed to freshen up and change.

He was indeed efficient, all ready in twenty minutes. After breakfast was done, he was urging her out the door.

"Don't you have to work?" Madison was curious.

Once in the car, with the driver starting the engine, Ethan reminded her, "Madison, please remember your boyfriend is the boss, would you?"

"Oh." Madison nodded, "Got it, you're not a wage earner."

"...You're not either. You are the lady of the Chairman of Mukino International," Ethan clarified, pinching her cheek lightly.

That title...

Madison blinked, smiling, "Sounds quite nice, actually."

Ethan laughed with her.

The driver, catching their reflection in the rear-view mirror, felt a touch younger in the presence of their youthful romance.

Ah, to be young and in love.

At the Mukino International training base...

Ethan's sudden visit had the base manager in a flurry of nerves, readying a grand welcome and awaiting his directives.

"No need to accompany us. Just send a trainer over," Ethan said.

The manager quickly arranged for the best trainer to assist.

The trainer was very polite, "President Grant, Captain Madison, good morning."

Madison smiled back, "Good morning to you too."

Ethan looked into the distance, "Set up training for a large passenger plane."

"Right away," the trainer hurried to prepare.

"Do you need me to come with you?" Ethan asked her.

Madison shook her head, "No need."

Every training carried its risks, she didn't want Ethan to be in any danger.

"I'll come along," Ethan insisted, "I've always watched you fly. This time, I'll fly with you."

The base, devoid of buildings, was wide open, making the wind especially brisk.

The first snow of the year had fallen the day before, and today was particularly chilly.

Ethan, dressed in formal attire with a black down coat, tall and lean, exuded an extraordinary aura.

To Madison, Ethan seemed increasingly handsome.

Once aboard the large passenger aircraft, with Ethan donning the communication headset and shades, Madison caught herself daydreaming.

"What's wrong?" Ethan asked, noticing her distraction, "Are you nervous because I'm here?"

Madison snapped back to reality, shaking her head, "No."

She suddenly had the urge to curse.

Damn, he's distractingly beautiful.

The training aircraft began to taxi slowly after securing the nearby airspace, Madison pushing the throttle forward.

Their voices exchanged updates amidst the frequency channels.

Apart from them, only the base's tower operators could listen in.

With the big boss on board, what would typically require two tower operators now had eight, all closely monitoring the aircraft's movement to avoid any irreparable accidents.

They then heard the following exchange.

But Ethan wasn't afraid; he trusted Madison's expertise completely.

"I want to show you the blue skies I love, the clouds I've flown through, and my past."

And then, my future will belong only to you.

In our relationship, the greatest sincerity I can offer is to share with you the heavens in my heart, side by side.

Back at the training base, numerous staff could see through the monitoring system just how freely the large aircraft danced in the sky.

It glided like a nimble bird, swam like a joyous fish, utterly free.

On that plane, one was their Chairman of Mukino International, the other, their pride.

To say they were well-matched would be an understatement.

After nearly two hours of flying and a series of training exercises, Ethan, in a role of command, and Madison displayed extraordinary synergy.

It was trust, it was affection that guided them.

Upon disembarking, Madison asked, "Are you tired?"

"I didn't fly; why would I be tired? You, on the other hand, must be, right?" Ethan wanted to say he'd ensure she could always fly that plane.

But he knew Madison wouldn't want that, and it would only make her angry.

"With you by my side, I didn't feel the fatigue," Madison beamed, clearly elated.

Ethan took her hand, "Shall we have lunch?"

"Sure."

"President Grant, Captain Madison, take care," the base manager bid them farewell respectfully as they boarded the vehicle.

"Oh, right." Ethan recalled something, "I'd like to introduce a few of my friends to you."

"I thought Michael was your only friend?"

"Michael grew up with me, he's like a brother," Ethan explained, "I don't see the others often, but we're in the same circle."

He was seeking Madison's consent.

Without hesitation, Madison agreed, "Sure."
