No. Justin was anything but normal. He was a psychopath, a devil, a madman with blood-stained hands—someone who killed for pleasure.
"Even though I helped dispose of the body, Mr. Newton kept Mr. Justin's murder weapon hidden away. The weapon is still stained with her blood, even after all these years. Mr. Justin's DNA is on it as well.
"As long as we hand it over to the authorities, the truth behind that murder will come to light. With me, an accomplice, as a witness, we can prove that Mr. Justin killed her!"
"But that happened 20 years ago," Jasper said, his tone heavy. "Justin was still a minor back then. It won't be that easy to persecute him."
"At the very least, we can keep him in check and drag him down from his position as president!"
Jasper fell silent, his expression dark. After a moment, he said, "Ben, do you really think Beckett Group is all Justin wants?"
Ben froze, taken aback.
"What he wants is control over all of Solana City. Beckett Group is just a stepping stone toward that goal." Jasper pressed his lips together briefly. "That said, we must settle this with him no matter the cost. I'm really grateful that you're willing to step forward and help bring him down."
Regret filled Ben's eyes. "Don't thank me. I don't deserve it. I just… want to make things right."
After leaving Crescent Bay, Jasper drove back to Seaview Manor alone. Countless emotions surged within him as he stared at the empty mountain road stretching ahead.
Yet, amid the turmoil, a glimmer of hope remained. Winter was ending, and spring would soon arrive. No matter how long or dark the night, dawn would come eventually.
