Can’t Win Me Back novel (Alyssa and Jasper) novel Chapter 1218

Alyssa was speechless at Landon's suggestion. Similarly, Jasper replied, "Mr. Harper, you're a grown man. Please behave like one."

After Jasper hung up, David nearly peed himself out of fear.

Alyssa fixed a threatening glare on him. "Now that we have a witness and solid evidence, you should explain yourself to the police and my dad."

At this moment, David felt as if he was struck by lightning. He neared a breakdown, not because he feared the police—no one from the distinguished families had any regard for the police—but because he was afraid of Winston Taylor.

The Schmidts might be family friends with the Taylors, but David had long heard from Victor about Winston's ruthlessness and his fierce loyalty to his family. Given that David's evil deed had been exposed, complete with evidence, he feared for his life when Winston learned about it.

Not only that, the incident would mark the end of the relationship between the Schmidts and the Taylors, and for that, David might fall out of favor with Victor for good.

David scrambled toward Alyssa and pleaded at her in tears, "M-Ms. Alyssa, it's my fault! I did something terrible because I wanted to win against Jimmy. It's all my fault. Please spare me for our fathers' sake—they're sworn brothers, aren't they?"

She merely snickered, remaining unfazed by his crocodile tears. "Repent for your sins in prison. Before that, I believe my dad and my brothers would teach you a lesson."

To protect himself, David blurted out the humiliating truth, "B-But I did not sexually assault Tatiana! I-I have erectile dysfunction!"

Everyone was left in shock. Tatiana's eyes wavered, and Sean quickly held her cold hand.

"Lyse, you should go with Jasper," Jonah suggested as he glared at the two useless men on the floor. "Julien and I will take care of these losers. Leave Taty and Sean in our good hands."

"Jonah, I'll be back soon!" Alyssa prepared to leave, but Tatiana grabbed her arm with teary eyes. Tatiana begged, "Lyse, could you please keep this a secret from Dad?"

"Taty?"

Tatiana trembled as she sobbed. "Don't tell him. He's getting old, and he's not in the best of health. I'm worried that—"

"Don't worry. I know how to deal with it." Alyssa gave her a reassuring squeeze in the hand and held back tears. "I'll do anything it takes to free you from the Schmidts."
