Called Off the Wedding, Left Him Bankrupt novel Chapter 318

There were chain stores like this all over the country, especially popular among young people.

No wonder Dominic had said the profits weren’t great.

For Holloway Enterprises, a business like this barely made a dent in their earnings.

She’d thought Dominic was just being modest, but now she realized he’d been telling the truth.

Still, any business that could turn a profit was a good opportunity for Tremaine Holdings. Once they fully transitioned out of real estate, investing in these smaller ventures might be a smart move.

Although the shop wasn’t officially open yet, there were already people waiting in the reception area.

Cynthia kept close to Dominic, eavesdropping on the conversations around them.

Turns out, everyone else had been invited by the store to try out the new games—social media influencers, judging by their striking looks.

They all seemed pretty young, maybe nineteen or twenty, radiating energy and excitement.

There were more influencers than the staff had expected, and with the shop still unofficially open, it was clear they were short-handed.

As Dominic and Cynthia stepped inside, a staff member—nervous behind thick glasses—approached and asked for their social media handles, assuming they were also here as game testers.

Dominic’s expression stayed cold as he replied, “Get your manager.”

Cynthia bit her lip, distracted from her thoughts by the staff member, and glanced over at Dominic. She found herself wondering—if Dominic ever became an influencer, what kind would he be?

A heartthrob, maybe? Or one of those fitness guys showing off his abs to thousands of adoring fans?

Her gaze drifted to his toned stomach. With a body like that, he’d hit a million followers in no time.

Noticing her staring, Dominic flicked her forehead—hard.

She turned to see a guy about her age, maybe twenty, flashing a bright, boyish grin.

“Hey, are you Mr. Holloway’s girlfriend?” he asked.

Cynthia shook her head without thinking. “No, I work for him.”

“Oh,” he replied, still grinning, a pair of charming dimples appearing as he smiled.

Cynthia smiled politely and put a little distance between them.

He seemed to get the hint, keeping a respectful space as he spoke again, a little more hesitant this time. “I’m new to all of this—just started as a content creator. I don’t really know anyone here to team up with. Could I join you guys? I read up on the games for this place, I promise I can help us win.”

Without hesitation, Cynthia waved him off. “Sorry, you should probably look for someone else.”

She was pretty sure Dominic wouldn’t appreciate a stranger suddenly tagging along, and besides, if he’d already checked out the walkthroughs, he’d probably ruin the fun for them.
