Lois's words exploded through the room like a thunderclap, jolting everyone into stunned silence. All eyes turned to Cynthia, their gazes sharpened with curiosity and suspicion, as if searching her face for any sign that Lois's accusations might be true.
"If anyone doesn't believe me, I can send the video later," Lois sneered. "You can all see for yourselves what a shameless little thing she turns into under a man."
By now, Lois felt no need to hold back—everything was already out in the open.
"Benedict, she chose this moment, in front of all these guests, to air your dirty laundry. She's trying to ruin you, to make you lose face. If you let her get away with this today, she'll walk all over you for the rest of your life! She—"
But Lois didn't get to finish. Benedict suddenly spun around and grabbed Giselle, who'd been trying to hide behind the Shepards' relatives.
"Was it you who told my mother to contact Zachary?" His eyes were cold and furious, looking as if he could kill.
Giselle shook her head frantically. "No! I swear, I didn't."
"Benedict, let go of me! I'm pregnant with your child—you can't treat me like this!" Giselle tried to retreat, clinging desperately to the people around her.
Lois rushed over, worried that Benedict might hurt the baby. "Benedict, have you lost your mind? You'd hurt Giselle over a woman who's already been tossed aside by half the city? She's carrying the Shepards' first grandson!"
With Lois's help, Giselle was pulled free. But just as she tried to escape, pain shot through her scalp—Benedict had caught her by the hair, yanking her backward.
Lois froze, her temper flaring as she glared daggers at Cynthia. She'd watched all her careful plans go up in smoke and was seething with rage—but this time, she was determined not to be outplayed again.
With the room buzzing with whispers, Lois turned to the crowd, her voice rising. "Don't be fooled by her pretty face. Sure, our Benedict made mistakes, but this woman is no saint either! Just last night, she slept with several men—and it's not the first time, either. I've got video proof!"
The murmurs in the room grew louder.
"In this crowd, everyone knows couples do as they please on the side. But dragging it all out into the open like this… it's just unsightly."
"Exactly. If she's off having her own fun, how can she expect her husband to be loyal?"
