Nathan roared, his voice raw with anger and grief.
"What? Son, Sophia cheated on you? The boy isn't your son?" The old woman, who had just arrived, overheard him and staggered as if she might collapse.
Joanna and Sophia felt a headache coming on the moment they saw Mrs. Scott Sr.
Why were they here?
"Mom, we've all been played by Sophia. Alexander isn't my son at all."
Nathan broke down, sobbing uncontrollably. He was sick with regret.
He had already severed ties with his four sons.
And as for Natalie, she would never acknowledge him as her father.
Mrs. Scott Sr. trembled with rage and marched forward.
*SLAP—*
The sound of her hand connecting squarely with Sophia's face echoed.
Sophia shot the old woman a venomous glare. "You old hag, you dare hit me?"
"Sophia," the old woman screamed, tears streaming down her face, "have my son and I ever wronged you all these years? I was the one who took care of you after you gave birth! I never did that for Wendy, not for a single day! I gave you the best of everything! Why would you cheat on my son?"
In a frenzy, Mrs. Scott Sr. grabbed Sophia's hair and tried to force her to the ground.
"Ah! You crazy old woman, let go of me! Let go!"
Sophia hadn't expected the old woman to snap like this.
They had once genuinely treated her as their grandmother, but she had never cared for them. In her eyes, they were just useless.
Wendy sneered. "This isn't enough. Sophia's son lived off my money, used my money to start his own company—thirty million a year. I want every last dollar of that back."
Wendy looked at her son. "Colin, you're a grown man now. You don't need to follow Joanna anymore. She's been exposed, and Sebastian has abandoned her. Without him, she's nothing."
"She might be clever in small ways, but she's not as smart as you. I need you to go abroad and ruin his company. I want all their years of effort to go up in smoke."
She wasn't about to let that bastard who fathered him get off easy.
After raising another man's child for over twenty years, she deserved some form of repayment.
"Mom, we…"
Wendy cut him off. "Don't ask questions you shouldn't. You leave tomorrow. I'll tell you what you need to do."
