He followed her inside, a tenderness he himself had never seen before softening his cold, stoic features.
Sean stepped forward to open the door.
He smiled and said, “Madam, please come in.”
Natalie looked at Sean and smiled back. “Sean, just call me Natalie. We’re friends, after all. You can just use my name.”
Sean heard footsteps behind him and his smile froze. How could he dare?
Sebastian would kill him!
He wouldn’t dare.
He truly wouldn’t dare.
Natalie paid no mind to his reaction and stepped into the main hall.
The villa was a pre-owned but unoccupied new build. The decor was in Sebastian's preferred monochrome palette, but he had someone put up white wallpaper.
It complemented the furniture, creating a rather nice effect. It was, in fact, her style.
The layout of the villa was identical to her own, with a large, open-plan kitchen.
Natalie stood there, quietly looking at the kitchen. The kitchen… it used to be her favorite place.
She would spend hours there, trying out all sorts of dishes to please Sebastian, but he never cared.
She turned to face Sebastian. His tall, imposing figure stood under the light, making him seem even more noble, his stern features softened.
Natalie couldn’t understand him anymore. “Sebastian, can you even live in a place this big by yourself?”
This villa only had three floors, while her current one had four.
Sebastian walked to her side, shoulder to shoulder. His voice was husky. “Aren’t you here? And in the future, we’ll have children.”
The word ‘children’ jolted Natalie. Her emotions flared up instantly. “Sebastian, don’t you dare mention children to me! If it weren’t for you, I…”
