She fastened her seatbelt and said to Luna, “Let’s go home.”

Luna glanced at her. “The day’s almost over. Are you still upset?”

Natalie wasn’t particularly upset anymore. Nathan was getting what he deserved, and she was doing just fine. “It’s nothing. Let’s go. I’m not upset, it’s just that Owen still won’t talk to me.”

Just as she was about to pull away, Natalie’s phone rang.

She picked it up and saw Marshall’s name.

“Marshall,” she said with a smile.

“Natalie, you’re back. I know you’re done with work, and I’d like to take you to dinner,” Marshall’s voice was cheerful.

Natalie looked out the window and saw Marshall’s car parked across the street.

He grinned and waved. “Natalie, over here!”

Natalie laughed. “Alright. Send me the address, and I’ll have Luna drive me over.”

“Okay!”

She hung up with a smile, and a moment later, Marshall’s message arrived.

Natalie forwarded the address to Luna.

Luna started the car and followed his. Marshall had perfect timing. Natalie was in a bad mood, and some company would probably do her good.

Marshall had chosen a place quite far away, near the city’s broadcast center. With rush hour traffic, it took them forty minutes to get there.

After getting out of the car, Natalie slipped on her black overcoat. Underneath, she wore a sharp black business suit that gave her a competent air.

She walked through the snow toward the entrance, where Marshall was already waiting for her.

When he saw her, he quickly pulled back the heavy curtain at the door.
