That bastard. A complete fraud, a marriage built on lies from the start.
Nathan's eyes darted away. He couldn't very well tell him that Joanna was also his biological daughter.
If Wendy found out, he would lose everything.
Knowing Wendy's personality, she would rather go down in flames with him than let him get away with it.
His reputation was already in shambles.
His expression turned cold. "Don't you care about Joanna, too? If I abandon her, what will happen to her? She's the daughter I raised; I can't bear to let her go. You five siblings are all grown up, not as sensitive as Joanna."
Colin gave a bitter laugh. "Right. You abandoned us, but you're still my father."
Nathan, knowing he was in the wrong, didn't dare say more.
He frowned. "Let's go. We'll head back for now. In a few days, we'll have your grandmother come and raise a fuss. Natalie will surely hand over the money then."
A cold light glinted in Colin's eyes. This parasite was still scheming against Natalie.
He scoffed, "I don't think there's a more shameless person in this world than you. You didn't raise Natalie for a single day, and now you want to steal her company?"
Nathan frowned at him and said with a hollow laugh, "Colin, you've changed. You used to hate Natalie the most, didn't you? You wanted to take everything she had and give it to Joanna. Don't you ever forget, Joanna is the sister who grew up with you. Natalie may be related by blood, but she's still a stranger."
Listening to his father's shameless words, Colin just smiled mockingly. "Hearing you say that, I've suddenly realized that blood relation doesn't matter. In your eyes, only Joanna is important."
"You abandoned us, your own flesh and blood. Don't worry, ever since we signed those papers, we've had no connection. Natalie said you have a chronic illness. I hope that when your condition worsens, your beloved Joanna takes good care of you—cares for you like a real father."
Nathan froze, staring at him angrily. "You brat, what are you talking about? I only left you because I couldn't afford to support you! You're all adults with your own lives. Even if I wanted you to, would you have come to live with me?"
