Sebastian asked coolly, "Who told you I was Joanna's fiancé?"
Is that what everyone was saying about him and Joanna?
Yves chuckled. "Mr. Spencer, everyone in Yaro knows you're Joanna's fiancé. You take Ms. Scott with you to every event. You two make a perfect couple, truly a match made in heaven. Let me be the first to congratulate you. You must send me an invitation when you get married."
Sebastian frowned and changed the subject. "You mentioned a deal. What is it?"
Remembering the matter at hand, Yves' expression turned serious. "Mr. Spencer, I need a favor. I'll give you the land in the west suburbs if you can persuade Natalie to let my son go. The moment she agrees, that land is yours."
Sebastian looked at him thoughtfully, his gaze deep and calculating. The land in the west suburbs?
Yves was certainly willing to pay a high price for his son.
Sebastian thought it was worth considering.
"I'll talk to her," Sebastian said flatly.
Yves smiled knowingly. He knew that the land in the west suburbs was something Sebastian desperately wanted.
For the right price, men were always willing to sacrifice a woman.
However, he didn't yet know what had happened inside—that his son had assaulted a police officer.
Once Sebastian was in the car, Sean asked, "Sir, are you really going to convince Ms. Sanders to forgive Maxwell in exchange for the west suburb land?"
Sebastian shot him an indifferent look. This Sean seemed awfully concerned about Natalie.
"You know how important that land is to our company."
Sean fell silent. He understood now. In Sebastian's mind, nothing was more important than the company's growth.
He asked, "Sir, are we heading to the office?"
Sebastian gazed out the window, his expression unreadable. "To the office."
"Natalie, you're still injured. Why did you come to the office?" Luna asked, looking at her with concern.
Natalie shook her head and smiled. "I'm fine. I had something to take care of. The ten models Susan brought back have returned to the company. I wanted to see them and give them a few days off."
Luna looked at Natalie's immobilized arm. The injury was severe, yet she was still driving herself.
Luna said, "Natalie, Joanna came back today."
Natalie thought about the situation with Maxwell. Joanna must be getting desperate. Natalie was fine, but Maxwell was going to jail. Of course Joanna would be worried.
She had lost her gamble and was starting to panic.
She thought Maxwell could kill her, but Maxwell never imagined she would survive.
She sneered. "Let her come back. She, Yves, and Delia will all be in contact. Keep a close eye on them."
Luna nodded. "I've been watching them, Natalie."
