Joanna: [Yvonne, leave this to me. I’m going to ruin her.]
This video was a godsend.
Yvonne: [Alright, I’ve sent it to you. Do what you want with it.]
Joanna: [Okay.]
Joanna decided she would go see Sebastian first thing in the morning.
…
As the first light of dawn broke, Natalie slowly opened her eyes, ready to greet the beautiful day. The mornings here were so peaceful.
But just as she was soaking in the tranquil morning glow, the phone on her nightstand shattered the silence.
With a sigh, Natalie sat up and answered.
“Hello?”
“Natalie,” Sebastian’s voice came through the line, “you wanted to talk about the divorce. Come back to the house now.”
Natalie sprang out of bed. “Sebastian, are you serious? You’re finally willing to get a divorce? You’re not just messing with me, are you?”
There was a long pause on the other end. “I’m serious.”
And then he hung up.
“Yes!” Natalie cheered, rushing to get ready.
At Sebastian’s house, he put down the phone and sat on the sofa, his expression impassive.
The chef was in the kitchen, preparing breakfast. Half an hour later, the dining table was laden with all of Natalie’s favorite dishes. He hadn't known what she liked, so he had asked the chef to replicate the meals Natalie used to make for him. Only then did he realize that everything she cooked had been his favorite foods.
