Bye-bye Trash! Hello Queen! novel Chapter 171

Mrs. Zade froze, feeling helpless. She knew about all the things her son had done. But he had done it all for her, his mother. She was disabled and needed a lot of money for treatment. Her filial son had found a shortcut to make that money, enough to provide them with a comfortable life. It takes two to tango; if those little tramps weren't so cheap themselves, how could they have fallen into her son's trap?

"Officer, but the kidnapping was a setup by Natalie to frame my son!"

The officer frowned. "Mrs. Zade, we have video evidence. Your son and his friends cornered Ms. Sanders in an alley. The official statement has been released online. Have you ever heard of someone using their own reputation to frame someone else?"

He then turned to the seven reporters. "We've received a complaint that you are causing a public disturbance. You'll need to come with us for questioning. There's also a report that you accepted bribes to slander Ms. Sanders."

The reporters were stunned. Who had they offended? How could their affairs be investigated so quickly?

Joanna's face was white as a sheet. The arrival of the police had brought her a moment of relief, only for their words to plunge her into a new abyss. But it didn't matter. Jerome was the one who had arranged it. If they investigated, they would trace it back to him.

The police led the reporters and Mrs. Zade away. Natalie looked at the now-useless video in her hand with a touch of regret. She hadn't been able to rip off Joanna's disgusting mask. It had to be said, Joanna's luck was always infuriatingly good.

"Natalie, stop this nonsense," Sebastian said, walking over and uttering the first thing that came to mind.

Natalie's head snapped up. She couldn't just let that slide.

"Nonsense? You think I'm causing nonsense? Who the hell is really... wait, of course. You're blind. All you ever see is me making trouble. But I just don't get you. You've got character, looks, money, and style. So why do you insist on doing things that make people want to vomit and flowers want to wilt?"

"Oh, I remember now," she said with a sarcastic laugh. "You never miss a chance to perform your undying love for Joanna. How could you pass up an opportunity like this?"
