Sean anticipated the question, but he hadn't made the progress he wanted.
"Boss, I tracked their organization to an isolated island, but getting concrete intel is going to take a bit longer."
It had taken everything he had just to pinpoint their laboratory base on that remote island.
Launching a full-scale raid was completely out of the question. It was a highly fortified experimental facility.
If they just rushed in, they'd be slaughtered before their boots even hit the sand.
They needed absolute clarity on the situation before making a tactical move.
"Boss, I have a bad feeling about this. There's a massive conspiracy buried under all of this."
"This entire operation traces back over thirty years. Who the hell has the power and patience to orchestrate a trap this massive, just waiting for everyone to blindly jump in?"
"And then there's your mother, and your biological father. Doesn't the timing of everything feel terrifyingly orchestrated?"
What Sean really wanted to ask was, *"Boss, do you actually know who your real father is?"*
But seeing how miserable Sebastian already looked, Sean couldn't bring himself to twist the knife.
Sebastian didn't know the answer either, but he knew his grandfather did.
He turned his gaze to the window and muttered softly, "Spring is in the air."
"Huh?" Sean blinked, completely thrown off by the random comment. What did spring have to do with anything?
"Boss, you missing a woman?" It was the only logical translation Sean could muster.
Sebastian frowned, irritated. "What the hell are you talking about?"
Sean pointed out the window. "When a guy says 'spring is in the air,' doesn't it usually mean he's got spring fever? You know, thinking about the birds and the bees?"
Sebastian's ears instantly burned crimson. What kind of nonsense was this?
