Hayley still couldn't connect the dots.

Startled back into action, Hayley spun back to the monitor. Sure enough, the surveillance feed showed the vehicle pulling smoothly into the underground parking garage of the Blackwood Group.

"Now that we know where they are, what's the play?" Fanny asked, her jaw tight. "Do we march in there and demand he hand them over?"

Ruby remained silent, a heavy sense of dread sinking in her chest.

She rubbed the bridge of her nose in deep frustration. "He won't hand them over. Hell, he won't even admit he has them."

"Knowing Morgan's shamelessness, you could shove the video evidence right in his face, and he'd just bat his eyes, deny any involvement, and swear he can't produce them."

A dark cloud settled over the room.

"So we just let this go? I know we've gathered enough dirt to take down Hanley, but if Domingo and Rosalie are in their hands, they're going to suffer. If Asher finds out..."

Fanny's eyes flickered with genuine sympathy.

Initially, they had rescued Asher to prevent Hanley from finishing the job, using the boy as leverage to secure his parents' loyalty.

But after spending so much time together, a bond of mutual care had formed between them.

Hayley rubbed her throbbing temples, refusing to even glance in Townsend's direction.

"What if... we play along and pretend we don't know anything?"

Garrison suddenly spoke, his smooth, elegant voice cutting through the tension like a cool mountain stream.

"What do you mean?"

Ruby turned to him, intrigued.

Garrison's warm gaze met hers as he gently explained. "The Steele family's representative has arrived, and you've already figured out Hanley's game—he's kissing up to you so he can use you to steal the inheritance. You're already playing the perfect, obedient daughter. Why not just keep up the act until Hanley shows his true colors? Once he drops his guard, we strike. And once Hanley falls, your profit-obsessed Morgan Blackwood won't have any reason to keep hiding Domingo."

"No."

Ruby frowned, rejecting the idea instantly.

Hayley looked confused. "It doesn't sound like a bad plan. It keeps our main operation completely intact."

Ruby shook her head, her tone resolute. "Hanley already forced Domingo to give a false testimony. As far as Hanley is concerned, Domingo has outlived his usefulness. The only reason he wants him back is to ensure he never talks."
