Chapter 6 

When Elaine’s agent Mavis Shawn saw the shocking trending topic, her heart nearly stopped 

She couldn’t get through to Elaine on the phone, no matter how many times she tried. 

Meanwhile, Finley walked in and saw the news. His face immediately darkened. 

He’d never admitted that Elaine was his fiancee, but seeing her get into another man’s car still bothered him. He was pissed, and he didn’t even try to hide it. 

He couldn’t help but wonder what the hell Elaine was up to now. Is she pulling some new stunt? Or is this just another attempt to grab my attention, this time in some twisted way! 

A cold smirk tugged at Finley’s lips as he thought about it 

He couldn’t shake the feeling that this whole thing was just childish–Elaine still seemed like the same immature girl from back in the day 

Back at the Morgan family home, Elaine, with Grace by her side, was warmly welcomed. 

Juana offered her hot coffee, and the warmth was a small comfort. Kingsley Morgan sat quietly on the couch, his presence heavy, even though he barely spoke. 

Grace smiled kindly. “Elaine, don’t let those idiots online get to you. I know you’re a good person. As for that Bianca and your so–called fance, don’t waste your time on them. 

“Let those two mess around with each other. It’s probably a blessing. You get to walk away from that iness. Trust me, a girl like you deserves better than that kind of family,” 

Elaine’s heart raced. She never expected someone to believe in her so fully. Grace was the only one who did. It was a relief she hadn’t expected. 

Everyone else, her parents and siblings, would always blindly side with Bianca 

Grace patted her hand gently. “Sweetheart, I trust you. I’ve been around long enough to know a good person when I see one.” 

Elaine’s chest tightened with gratitude. “Thank you,” she whispered, 

Grace smiled warmly. “Now, tell me–are you holding something in What’s bothering you?” 

Elaine’s throat tightened. She had so much built–up resentment. In that house, all she’d ever felt was pushed aside 

Her mom and brothers always thought she was the angry, difficult one, while Bianca was the perfect, sweet angel. It wasn’t fair, 

Elaine’s voice cracked as she spoke. “Mom’s got back pain. I do acupuncture for her. But Dad and the brothers are too busy. So I cut back on work to be with her. 

“Shawn loves skiing, and one year we got caught in an avalanche. I had to walk for miles, my legs went mumb, and my face froze before I finally found help. 

“Harlan’s obsessed with a girl from another crew, I spent days helping 

days helping him with love letters and gifts, trying to help him get over a breakup. 

“Jepson has asthma, and I’m always on standby with his meds. One night, I had to run to a pharmacy and deliver the medicine to him at 3 am terrified he’d have an attack… 

Elaine couldn’t hold back the tears anymore. All the hurt she’d buried deep inside spilled out. She’d given so much for her family, but they’d thrown her aside for Bianca–the girl who took everything from her. 

She was supposed to be strong, but her family had broken her. She’d spent years trying to make them happy, only to be ignored. 

She got nothing in return. Her mom always favored Bianca. Her older brother didn’t care. Her younger brothers treated her like a burden. She was there when they needed her, but disappeared when they didn’t. 

Her family drained her, while Bianca was their golden child. It wasn’t until she almost lost everything that she finally woke up.

Chapter 6 

She used to be so stubborn, so unwilling to give up, and in the end, it all fell apart. And them! They’d probably just blame her for being petty. 

When Grace Morgan heard the story, her eyes welled up with tears. All she felt was pity for Elaine. She never imagined this poor girl had suffered so much 

“Elaine, come stay with us. Don’t go back there. I’ll take good care of you. And how about my grandson, Kingsley Grace said, holding Elaine’s hand and pointing to Kingsley. “Your fiance? What a jerk. He’s playing both sides. He doesn’t even compare to my grandson.” 

Kingsley coughed lightly. “Grandma, cut it QUE 

“Cut it out? Elaine’s 19, and I like her. She’d be perfect as my granddaughter–in–law.” 

Elaine didn’t expect Grace to be so bold and try to set them up like that

Grace instantly caught on, knowing Elaine didn’t have a bad impression of Kingsley. 

“No rush. These days, people get married after knowing each other for just a few days. Some even decide after one meeting it’s right. It’s called ‘marned first, love later. Slow and steady, Grace said. 

“Grandma, you’re pretty modem,” Elaine laughed, amused by the old woman’s words. 

That night, Grace insisted Elaine may over, and Elaine happily agreed, 

Grace was dealing with some pretty bad rheumatoid arthritis, so Elaine decided to try acupuncture to show her thanks. 

His assistant said. “Mr. Morgan, after Miss Yeats treated Mrs. Morgan, her legs are already feeling way better. She really knows her stuff.” 

Kingsley nodded, feeling relieved that his grandma was getting better. But when he thought about Elaine’s words, his eyes narrowed, “Look into what happened with Elaine Yeats and Bianca Yeats falling into the water.

Elaine had helped his grandma, so now he felt like he owed her something. 

The next day. Tracy got some new info: Bianca fall into the pool had nothing to do with Elaine. She slipped and fell all on her own, and there’s security footage to prove it 

When Tracy saw the footage, her face immediately turned dark. She never thought Flaine would be the one who got screwed over 

“Bianca, so your sister didn’t push you into the water?” she asked. 

Blanca was just as shocked to learn the blame was on her. She stared at Tracy, “Mom, it wasn’t my sister. I slipped and fell into the pool. Is this about all the fights you’ve been having with her!” 

Tracy felt conflicted. “Why didn’t you say anything earlier?” 

Bianca sighed. “Mom, you never asked. I had no idea what was going on, but you all just assumed my sister pushed me 

Tracy went silent for a moment, thinking back to how upset Bianca had looked when she fell. She had just assumed Elaine was the one at fault.
