Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 173

Willow hesitated. "I don't think so."

Since Beasley wanted to keep the marriage a secret, he probably wouldn't tell many people around him.

As far as she knew, only three of Beasley's friends were aware of their secret marriage—York was one of them, along with a Sterling and a Whitmore.

But as for Beasley's childhood friend, Rosamund, Willow had no idea if she knew. If Rosamund did know, that would mean she was knowingly involved as a third party. But maybe, to protect Rosamund from emotional stress, Beasley hadn't told her anything—at least, that's what Willow guessed.

"Wow, he's really going all out to keep this under wraps," Juliette scoffed, feeling increasingly indignant on Willow's behalf.

But Willow just smiled. "Honestly, I'm glad not many people know about what's going on between us."

"You really mean that?" Juliette glanced at her, searching her face.

"Of course." Willow didn't even hesitate.

Relief softened Juliette's expression, and she smiled too. "Alright, then I won't worry."

It seemed her best friend was even tougher than she'd realized.

Around six in the evening, the two of them drove back to Juliette's house in Northcrest.

At the same time, in one of Northcrest's five-star hotels, a lavish charity ball was about to begin, drawing a crowd of the city's elite.

Evelyn arrived at the ball with her boyfriend, Major, but her main purpose tonight wasn't to turn heads on the dance floor. She had her sights set on the charity auction happening later in the evening. Her grandmother's seventieth birthday was coming up, and Evelyn wanted to win something special and meaningful at the auction—a gift that would be both precious and memorable.
