When Beasley pulled up to York's new place, he noticed two cars already parked outside the house.

Carrying a bottle of fine wine, Beasley stepped out and walked to the door. He pressed the doorbell.

It was York who answered. He looked surprised to see Beasley standing there.

"You're here early! I didn't expect you this soon," York said, glancing at the clock in disbelief.

To be fair, York had invited a few close friends over to celebrate his housewarming later that evening, but it was still morning—Beasley showing up now was definitely unexpected.

Instead of explaining himself, Beasley glanced past York's shoulder and asked, "Got company already?"

York gave a helpless chuckle. "Yeah, they showed up first thing this morning. Didn't even give me a chance to unpack."

No sooner had he finished speaking than a crisp female voice rang out from the living room: "York, is that a guest? Don't just keep them at the door—invite them in!"

Beasley immediately recognized the voice. It was York's Aunt Claire. Back in middle school, Beasley would often hang out at York's house and could always count on a lecture from her.

He raised an eyebrow, shooting York a look that clearly said, "Good luck, man."

York's handsome face fell into a resigned expression as he stepped aside to let Beasley in.

Beasley handed the vintage wine into York's arms and finally walked inside.

Only then did he realize just how many people were already there. Aside from Patriarch Sinclair and the eldest Sinclair brother, who sat quietly in the corner, the rest of the Sinclair family's main members had all arrived.

Sitting in the living room were York's parents and Aunt Claire's whole family of four.

Aunt Claire Sinclair, technically York's cousin, had been raised by Patriarch Sinclair ever since her own father—Patriarch's younger brother—passed away. She'd grown up in this house, as much a daughter as any by blood.

So, in a way, she was as close to York as a real aunt would be.
