The two men glanced at each other before turning to look at Alex who averted his gaze from them, indicating that he had nothing to say to it. Already understanding what his gesture meant even though they were surprised because this was the first Alex was not refusing something like this.

“Akright, you can stay here for a bit until your friends outside take their leave.” The first man who had spoken earlier said on behalf of himself and his other two friends.

" Thank you so much.” Rose bowed her head again to thank them.

Meanwhile outside the room, where Rey and his men were standing in the hallway while looking for Rose. They all knew that Rose had entered one of the rooms here but it was hard for them to barge into the room where the guests were eating so they decided to wait patiently outside until she came out by herself or maybe she would eventually be kicked out .

However, just at the same moment, the elevator door opened and a young handsome man gently stepped out of the elevator.

He was dressed in a dark gray suit, his hair was combed and neatly styled backwards, with silver rimmed glasses propped on his nose. A frown instantly appeared on his handsome and dignified face the moment he saw the group of men camped outside the elevator.

“What is going on here?” He asked in a gentle, yet cold voice rang out in the hallway which instantly drew both Rey and his bodyguards attention towards him.

“Mr. Anderson, it's you. It is such a great pleasure to meet you in person, sir. My name is Rey Mason, the general manager of HYL entertainment. " The moment Rey sighted the man in a gray suit, he quickly pushed past his bodyguards and rushed quickly to where he was standing. He introduced himself and did a respectful bow to him with a smile on his face. Of course, he recognized the man. The eldest son of the Anderson family - Nicholas Anderson. One of the most feared men, not only in the whole of California. Never in his life did he think he would have the chance to meet a man like this and it was because he came looking for Rose.

The man frowned upon seeing the man standing in front of him. He recognized Rey as well thanks to all the scandalous news about him he normally comes across on the TV news and internet.

However, a frown still appeared on his face as he looked at the messy state Rey was in. He could tell that Rey had been smoking and drinking due to a strong smell on him that has yet to leave him.

“I asked a question." Nicholas repeated himself as he ignored the outstretched hand that Rey had out for a handshake.

" Ah, I apologize for this mess here. However, my men and I are here to catch a criminal that escaped from us earlier. We believe that she is hiding in one of the rooms here so we are waiting outside here for her." Rey put back his outstretched hand and replied to Nicholas' question with a smile on his face.

“Is that why you're all here causing unnecessary crowds on the top floor?” Nicholas coldly asked, clearly hearing what Rey said that he was here because of a criminal.

Rey blinked his eyes in confusion when he heard Nicholas question again. “I’m sorry. Did you heard what I said earlier, Mr. Anderson? I said we are here-”

Oblivious to the amused stare from the three men in the room, Rose leaned closer to the door so that she can hear what was happening outside. Although she didn't hear the conversation between Rey and Nicholas, all she just heard was the voice of Rey telling him men to leave and she heard their retreating steps so she thought he had given up.

Rose let out another sigh of relief before turning around to see the three amazed stare. She awkwardly clear her throat and spoke. “Gentlemen, I really appreciate you letting me stay here. It seems like my friends have already left so I will be taking my leave now. Please hava a lovely afternoon." She said and bowed in gratitude to them.

“It's our pleasure to help a beautiful damsel in distress.” The playful looking man said with a playful smile on his face. He was expecting Rose to blush at his remark, however she didn't quite the opposite.

" I'm grateful and I will remember you handsome gentlemen for helping me today.” She smirked at him before turning around.

Just as she reached out her hand to grab the the door knob, the door suddenly opened. Because she was standing too close to the door, she was unable to shift back quickly so the door hit her head and she stumbled on her feet backward before eventually losing her balance and fall heavily to the ground.

The two men quickly reacted to help her but it was too late since she had fallen to the ground.

A frown appeared on Nicholas's face again the moment he opened the door and saw a beautiful young girl on the floor in front of him.
