Billionaire Lost to His Surrogate In A Love Game novel Chapter 207

"Lady, although you’re a friend of our director’s, you can’t be so irrational. We’re also sorry for what happened to your daughter, but we worked hard to save her life after all."

Gwylan got even angrier.

"Everybody says People’s Hospital is the best hospital in this city, and that you bring every patient back to life. I didn’t expect you to be so awful! If my daughter really couldn’t get pregnant again, I’d make each of you lose your job!"

Bradwen took Gwylan into his arms and comforted her in a low voice, "Gwylan, settle down. The doctor said that Cora could get pregnant in the future, so don’t be mad anymore."

Gwylan growled at Bradwen and said, "Are you happy to see Cora become like this? As long as she couldn’t have children, you’d have the reason to love this woman, wouldn’t you?" Gwylan pointed at Helena as she spoke. "Don’t you think I don’t know you still love this woman. Even if you married me, even if our daughter is already an adult now, she still has a place in your heart, right?"

A trace of amazement flashed across Helena’s eyes, while Bradwen cast a pained look at Gwylan, suppressed his anguish and said, "Gwylan, stop this! You’re the only one I’ve loved all these years. Why wouldn’t you believe that there’s nothing between Helena and I?"

Gwylan shoved Bradwen away. "Bradwen, you’d better pray Cora would be OK. Otherwise, our marriage would come to an end too!"

Agony gleamed in Bradwen’s eyes. He never expected things to turn out in the worst way. Conceivably, he couldn’t be more in pain now.

A nurse steered the gurney out of the operating room and said, "Lady, it’s better for you to calm down first. The patient is still in a coma, so please be quiet. You’ll only bother her if you keep screaming and yelling like this."

Gwylan rushed up to the gurney and burst into tears at the sight of the pale Cora.

She had only one daughter, and Cora was the apple of her eye. She would never allow anything to happen to her sole daughter.

Sometimes, a mother would do the most crazy and astonishing thing for the sake of her own daughter.

"Cora, don’t be scared. Mom is here. Nobody can hurt you. Our family is rich and powerful, and we’ll definitely restore your health," said Gwylan.

Helena faked a cough and replied in a decent manner, "I’m sorry that Cora has become like this, and I’ll get the best doctor to treat her. The doctor just said that it would be hard for her to get pregnant, but it’s not out of the question. I believe with the help of modern medical technology, Cora will regain her health, even if there’s only a glimmer of hope."

Gwylan sneered, stared coldly at Helena and said, "Helena, you’re a smart woman, and I can never be so smart as you. You’ve gained the love from two men with your intelligence and elegance, and now even my daughter falls in love with your son. It was Cora’s fault that she ran away from the wedding back then, but she’s back, and was pregnant with Zachariah’s baby. Now that she lost the ability to have babies, shouldn’t Zachariah give her what she deserves?"

Annoyance flashing across Gwylan’s eyes, she replied, "I’m sad that this happened to Cora, but to be honest, I wouldn’t have Zachariah divorcing Ophelia and marrying Cora, because I like Ophelia. Zachariah and Cora are destined never to be together since Cora fled the wedding at that time, not to mention that now Cora lost the baby. But don’t worry, we’ll get the best doctor to treat Cora, but I don’t think we need to give her anything."

Gwylan gave a sneer. "Bradwen, did you see that? This is the woman you fell in love with. I don’t think you’ve seen the sinister side of her character before."

Bradwen explained helplessly, "Helena and I are just old friends, and there’s nothing between us. Stop making a fool of yourself. It’s been years since we and the Chambers family knew each other, and you’ll only aggravate the situation by doing this."

Gwylan threw a glance at Bradwen with mixed emotions and snapped, "I’m making a fool of myself? Didn’t you see Helena was insulting Cora? As a father, not only don’t you take your daughter’s side, but you also defend this woman. What kind of father are you?"
