Mia's call finally came through. As soon as I answered, she said, "Chloe, I heard you're planning to acquire Echelon Group. Is that true or just a rumor?"

"What's the matter? If it's said online that I'm acquiring it, then I will! Can't let these people complain for nothing!" I replied with an annoyed tone while munching on strawberries.

My tone displeased Mia a bit. She couldn't contain her impatience and said, "One should have self-awareness. What capital do you have to acquire Echelon Group? Atticus is currently missing. Who gave you the right to announce the acquisition?"

"Mia," I smiled. "How did you know Atticus is missing? Is that not what you did? What does it have to do with me?

"My dream has always been to acquire Echelon Group. I've had this goal ever since I established Tanum! I aim to make the company the most outstanding and prominent—to take over Echelon Group! Haha! " I said, sounding bold and arrogant.

I put down the strawberry in my hand and continued, "I got a sudden notion while I was relaxing at home and was really bored. If I acquire Echelon Group, won't it strengthen Tanum?"

"Chloe, you're quite the confident soldier! Enough is enough! Don't make it too difficult for Atlas!" Mia's voice was cold and stern.

I grinned, "Well, that's the result of my casual chat with Atlas! Once we acquire Echelon, won't we become the largest construction and development group in Foswood and even in Zydan? If that's the case, I won't have to deal with this annoyance anymore, right?

“At least by then, people like you won't be able to interrogate me anymore. Who gave you the confidence anyway?"
