Sofia’s POV
I turned my head around until I was staring back at Kayla once again, and that was when I came to the conclusion in my head that it was going to be alright for me to offer her a seat at this point.
“Would you like to sit?” I asked her after a moment and stared as she grinned brightly at me before pulling the chair which Luca had only sat in for a couple of minutes, before sinking into it and turning around in the chair until she was facing me fully.
“I don’t think I’ve introduced myself to you yet.” I paused.
“My name’s Sofia.”
“Oh, I know, it was all over the news as well.” Kayla breathed out in the next second and I shifted a little after that.
“Uh, that’s good, I guess?” I said after a moment.
“I follow your husband on Instagram and Twitter in over a year and I was wondering if you have Instagram as well,”
I breathed out a small laugh after that as I pushed my hair out of my face, this lady sure was forward.
“I don’t have…”
“You don’t have Instagram?” She asked incredulously with an unreadable expression on her face and I hesitated before giving a firm nod of my head.
“Yeah, I don’t. It’s not really my thing.” I said to her as I reached forward to pick up my drink from the table to take a small sip from it. I’ve heard about the whole Instagram thing right since I was in high school and finally got access to a laptop, which got monitored a lot. I only brought myself to download Instagram and look up Luca yesterday, after we kissed for the first time ever since we got married.
I wasn’t all that surprised about him being popular because he was really popular right since I was in grade school, but I was still surprised nevertheless as soon as I had gotten into his profile and seen how good looking he looked online.
“Well, not everyone are into anything relating to social media, so I guess it’s pretty much understandable.” She finally said and I gave a nod of my head after a moment.
“You stay here in Italy?” I asked as soon as I had returned my drink back on the table.
“Oh no, I don’t. I am staying in America with my husband, we came here to take care of some things.” Kayla replied after a moment, her lips stretching out into a smile, and her eyes twinkled as the bright lights from the roof caught her eyes.
She looked really good and almost, for how fast she talked.
We continued to talk and she was doing most of the speaking with me contributing a word or two, laughing, nodding my head or just pointedly staring at her. She was also eager to talk about her marriage and I allowed her, because I had little to nothing to talk about when it comes to my own marriage, because what was I going to say to her in the first place? That my husband and I just started getting closer after getting married for over ten days.
Along the line, thirty minutes past with the both of us talking together although she was really fun and cool to discuss with, I was still extremely wary each time the conversation strayed towards Luca’s side and I’d barely give more than a few worded replies, because I didn’t even know if Luca was going to be cool with me talking about him, and even if he was, there wasn’t really much for me talk about to her.
It was like a breath of fresh air to me though, because it was the first time I was having a conversation that I really liked, with a girl like myself ever since ig it informed about the fact that I was going to be getting married to Luca, and although she was married, she was a bit older than I am. She hadn’t been surprised to find out that I was eighteen years of age because apparently it was all over the news as well, and I also hadn’t been surprised when she told me about the fact that she was twenty two years old, because she gave off the vibe of an early twenties to me as soon as she had started to talk to me, coupled with the aura in which she used in carrying herself around.
“Bunny, meet Travis, a childhood friend.” Luca said to me as soon as Tristan was done speaking and I felt my cheeks darken even more, on realizing that Luca had referred to me as ‘bunny’ in front of these people.
“Hello there, it’s nice to meet you… in person as well.” I spoke and decided to clarify myself when he stared at me confusingly at first.
“Your wife talked about you a lot,” I explained to him and watched as realization crossed his face, as his lips stretched out into a smile.
“Oh, I should have figured that out instantly, knowing just how fast my wife's mouth works.” Travis said and Kayla shoved against his chest a little.
“What does that mean?” She demanded with narrowed eyes, but he only rolled his eyes at her teasingly before tugging her more firmly against his body, and she literally melted against him.
She was so in love.
Kayla and I ended up getting a chance to talk together after some moments and she made sure to get my number and send me a text, and I saved contact instantly. It was the first contact I was going to be having on this phone and it was making me somewhat excited, the fact that I’d get to have someone to text and chat with.
Maybe we could hang out some other time… who knows?
Luca held me against his side throughout the rest of the night, with his hands banding me to his side and making goosebumps appear on my exposed skin each time his fingertips moved around the thin material of the gown I had on, or across my hips. I was completely aware of him beside me throughout the rest of the wedding, of how he smelled really good and how I loved how he was holding me against his side and making my head rest on his chest here in public.
A lot of people stared at us openly, but that didn’t stop me from shivering a little each time his fingertips tightened on my hip, and all I could think about was how he had kissed me senseless, right before we had started to get ready for this wedding.
