The takeout box in the man's hand spilled all over the ground as the woman, her
expression twisted with rage, attacked him.
"Lily! Are you crazy? Let go of me!" he shouted, but the strength difference between
a man and a woman soon became apparent. He quickly regained control and started
hitting Lily repeatedly.
"You bitch! I haven’t even come to settle the score with you, and you come to me
first? If it weren’t for you, would I be delivering food? You’re asking for it!" Karen
yelled.
Lily, unable to fight back, turned her gaze to the knife and fork on the ground. She
grabbed the knife and, without hesitation, plunged it into Karen’s neck.
Karen’s movements stopped. His eyes widened, and soon he lost the ability to resist,
collapsing heavily on top of Lily, motionless...
Blood pooled on her, but she seemed utterly unaware. She turned her head and
looked at me. Across the distance of several dozen meters, our eyes met.
