Betrayed, But Not Defeated novel Chapter 97

When Alden received the call, he was stunned.

However, he quickly realized something must have gone wrong, so he rushed to Fortune Heights Hotel with his team.

Seeing Daniel's cold expression, Alden felt his legs nearly buckle, but he quickly approached Daniel.

"Mr. Ellison..." Mike spoke up, looking pitiful as he tried to explain.

But Alden bypassed him and went straight to Daniel's side. "Mr. Ashcroft, what can I do for you?"

Daniel sneered and turned to Bobby. "Alden, you know that Fortune Heights Hotel is quite well-known in Qranross, don't you? How could such a basic mistake happen over a room reservation? Is this just a mistake, or is someone intentionally making trouble?" he asked with a smile.

Bobby's face went ashen.

Although he didn't know Alden personally, seeing how Mike acted like a child in front of him, he could deduce Alden's status.

And the fact that Daniel spoke to Alden this way made it clear what kind of influence Daniel held.

Alden quickly nodded, then looked over to see Charlene's familiar face.

He was sharp enough to know that if this issue was to be settled and Daniel's anger diffused, it would depend on her attitude.

"Ms. Geller, I apologize. My staff acted unprofessionally and caused you trouble. I take full responsibility for the bad experience you all received today. I'll cover the bill for the whole event and give everyone a gold card for Fortune Heights Hotel!" Alden said without hesitation.

After stating his compensation, he humbly turned to Charlene and said, "Ms. Geller, if there's anything else you're dissatisfied with, please let me know!"

Charlene, who had been angry, now felt slightly flattered by Alden's treatment.

"Mr. Ellison, you're too kind! It's a small matter, and you've handled it well!" She waved her hand.

At this moment, she understood why she had been treated so well during her dealings with Obsidian Group. She was practically handed a contract for cosmetics.

Everything was clear when she saw Alden's humility before Daniel.

Alden was someone he knew all too well. If he dared to hide the truth, it would be suicidal.

Alden smiled. "Frederick, huh? Very well. Where is he?"

Bobby quickly stood up. "He's in the private room over there!"

When Alden brought his people over, Frederick was in the private room, leisurely waiting for Bobby to come back with good news.

He couldn't waste that one million.

"Who are you people?" Holding a wine glass and squinting as he savored the drink, Frederick suddenly saw a group of people burst in and immediately scolded them.

Alden coldly glanced at him. "Keep an eye on them. If anyone dares to leave, cripple them!"

With that, he turned and left.
