Zachary was pleased with what was going on. He seemed to be emotionally spurred on by the situation.
However, Oscar smiled at him in response.
"You really are a gutsy one huh, Mr. Geller Senior?"
A dark glint flashed across Zachary's eyes. He loved it the most when his prey glared at him defiantly, but not when their expressions were one of mockery.
A piercing feeling came hurtling through the air at that moment. Zachary's expression changed slightly. He didn't even pause to think—he was quick to flip backward before jumping away from the source in order to avoid the attack.
Zachary had to replicate those motions three times in a row before he finally stopped moving. But he was already drenched in cold sweat at that moment.
That was extremely dangerous!
If not for his quick reaction, those attacks would've been enough to kill him!
"Who's there? Show yourself!" Zachary roared.
His subordinates dared not take the situation lightly. They wielded their own weapons while scanning around the room vigilantly.
"The Keatons really are overbearing, huh?"
Daniel strolled into the room with a hand stuck in his pocket. At the same time, he played around with two tiny stones with his other hand.
Zachary's expression hardened. He saw the stones clearly and recognized them as the lethal weapons that almost took his life.
The sight of Daniel's slight smile actually sent chills down his spine.
"Who the hell are you?" Zachary's hand slowly reached down his hips.
Daniel pretended to not notice Zachary's movements. He merely shot the latter a glance before spitting out his name.
"I'm Daniel Ashcroft."
"You've just signed your death warrant!" Ned, who had assaulted Charlene earlier, was quick to roar at Daniel.
The Keatons' subordinates, who already had their guard up, attacked Daniel right away.
Daniel merely waved his hands around. As soon as he launched an attack, someone would collapse to the ground and convulse for a moment before dying on the spot.
Upon realizing that Daniel was approaching them, Ned quickly retreated to Zachary's side.
Ned's face turned bright red instantly. Still, his expression contorted into one of malice.
"You really are strong, but that's all you are! Now explode!"
One could imagine how major the destruction would be if a grandmaster-level expert were to explode.
Zachary seemed to have foreseen that this would happen. He had already appeared behind Daniel at that moment.
Right now, Daniel was stuck between a rock and a hard place. He could choose to save Charlene and the others, but in doing so, he'd reveal his weak spot.
But if he chose to retreat, Charlene would definitely die.
"Leave!" Charlene shrieked at Daniel, having sensed the impending danger.
But Daniel didn't hesitate to approach her and pull her into his arms.
"You…" Charlene was frustrated and anxious, to say the least.
Daniel just smiled and shook his head.
