Blondie was startled by Daniel's actions. He had just seen several of his men get knocked to the ground with a single kick from Daniel.
Standing up hastily, he clutched his face and limped into the courtyard.
Not long after he entered, a series of voices could be heard.
"Blondie? Why are you back? What happened to your face?" someone asked upon noticing him.
As if grabbing onto a lifeline, Blondie rushed over frantically. "Mr. Langley! It's that guy!"
Dominic Langley, over six feet tall with chiseled muscles, exuded a powerful presence.
Hearing Blondie's cries, Dominic raised his head to look, but his face grew darker the more he looked. Then, he lifted his hand and slapped Blondie across the face.
"What the hell, Blondie! I told you to stop chasing women! Did you meet a ghost or something?"
Dominic's sudden rage left Blondie stunned.
Blondie was nearly in tears, terrified that Dominic might misunderstand him. He quickly ran to the door.
"He's been following me the whole time! How could he... Ah!" Blondie screamed as Daniel suddenly appeared, scaring him so badly he fell on his backside.
"There he is, Mr. Langley! That's the guy who took down all the others!"
Dominic finally saw Daniel. Narrowing his eyes, he swayed slightly before standing up.
The other lackeys put down their playing cards and looked at Daniel with malice.
"You've got guts, lad. How dare you mess with my people?" Dominic crossed his arms and swaggered toward Daniel with his men.
As he approached, Dominic flexed his pectoral muscles, making them bounce to showcase his strength.
Daniel glanced at Dominic, finding him to have a solid physique. Though it looked as if he was merely showing off his muscles, in reality, he was also trying to confuse his opponent.
This man was definitely a martial artist, close to becoming a grandmaster-level expert.
Dominic was a smart man. Though he'd been crippled, he didn't dare harbor even a shred of resentment.
After all, as long as he was alive, there was still hope.
But if he mouthed off now, he might end up dead.
"Lord Sullivan ordered us to watch this place. When the head of the cosmetics company, Ms. Geller, showed up, we were told to detain her. We don't know anything beyond that!" Dominic dared not withhold a single detail.
"Lord Sullivan? Quite the status, huh? He dares call himself that here?" Daniel sneered.
"It seems you're not convinced, young man."
At that moment, a voice rang out, and a group of people approached.
Daniel narrowed his eyes. The strength of these people far surpassed Dominic's.
If his earlier suspicion after Charlene's phone call was just a speculation, it was now certain—the Keaton family had indeed made their move. As expected of Gimlin's top family, they had fast reactions.
