Evan’s POV:
Both of us remain silent for quite a while.
Then, I finally spoke first with an angry snort, “Grandma was the point of seeing her sons?”
“Oh, you stupid child! Do the maths. Those two boys might be your children!”
My jaw nearly dropped after hearing this. “What? No way! That impossible! I asked her, and she told me herself that they are not my sons.”
“Alas! You don’t understand women at all. She hates you so much, and she might be saying that to simply make you mad.”
“To make me mad?” I blinked stupidly.
But then, it came to me. ‘Indeed, I had been quite awful to her, and it made sense!’
“Anyhow bring the boys over first and take paternity test.” Grandma said, “If they are not your son, so be it. However, if they were your kids, they can’t wander alone out there without a father!”
“Well, I see…”
Anya’s POV:
After the work of five days, I finally moved into my new apartment. After all, I can’t always live in a hotel, since I want to settle here with my kids.
After I had cleaned it up, we were able to settle down at last.
The apartment was in the city center, and it was quite large.
Apart from the four bedrooms and two sitting rooms, there were also two nanny’s rooms.
The rent was forty thousand dollars a month.
Though. I was the current chairwoman of the Walter Group, I didn’t have too much cash. I had properties and the company’s share. If I required a large amount of cash, I had to sell them. And over the years, the money my mother left for me has also been used up.
However, in a city like X city, we are every square inch counted, could easily cause people tens of millions to purchase a comfortable apartment.
Therefore, between a comfortable apartment and life, I chose the latter.
“Anya, have you read the news?”
Kester asked as he came over to help me to clean up.
I was busy with my three children’s clothes, so I replied without looking up. “I’m too busy to think of anything else! Moving is so tiring!”
Kester smiled lightly. “Well, have a look then. You will be surprised.”
With that, he handed me his cell phone.
After reading a few pages of comments, I sighed. “To be honest, I really don’t want this happen. I don’t want to fall out with my dad! Yet, he left me with no other options…”
“Don’t think too much.” Kester said, “You need to show your strength. The more you ignore the bad guys, the more they think you are a pushover. Only when you fight back can you really protect yourself and your children!”
“You are right. Thank you, Kester.”
“Come on, you’re always so polite to me!”
“But I owe you. That’s the least I should say. I don’t know what I could do without you.” I said. After all, in this whole city, Kester is the only person who I can trust.
Kester suddenly looked at me and asked, “Do you really want to thank me?”
“Of course, I do!”
He gave me a bright smile and said, “Then, will you marry me?”
Mia’s POV:
It had only been days, but the public opinion had been completely reversed. My past had been kept trending on the Internet.
Annoyed by it, I cursed, “Anya, you are so shameless!”
“Mom, what’s wrong?” Tina asked tentatively.
“I just called the wife of the website’s manager, and she said she could not do anything about it. Damn it. I’m so mad!” I smashed my cup into pieces and went on furiously. “Hire more people to write more stories about Anya. I will crush her!”
The next day, as I was scrolling through my phone, several news and posts about Anya popped into my phone.
“Anya Walter, A Promiscuous Woman Who Brings Shame on Her Family!”
“Ten Tricks That Anya Played While Taking Karl’s Legacy.”
“Anya Walter Seduce Her Brother-In -Law.”
Posts and news like this were spread on the Internet once again.
Since I had sent a lot of money, paying off a lot of trolls on keep attending Anya.
“She will never make it this time.” I said to my daughter.
“But Mom,” Tina asked, “We have spent so much money, and it doesn’t feel like it’s working at all!”
“You know nothing!” I replied, “Just wait, that Anya bitch will spat on by the whole X city in no time.”
I smirked viciously, picturing my moment of victory.
