......
She had to be flexible in an urgent situation like this.
Carolien had a rough idea in mind. She picked up a few documents, grabbed her mobile phone, and swiped through it absent-mindedly before hurriedly heading out.
She didn't have much time left!
......
She went straight to the Eshaun Area, Kingstone District. In no time at all, Carolien found Collins Group's cosmetic surgery agency. Her eyes fell on the huge "Han" sign in the center of the low-key, luxurious building, and her gaze subconsciously softened.
She tugged on the hem of her shirt and took a deep breath before walking in.
"Welcome to the Collins Group Beauty Agency. What can I do for you, Miss? We offer all kinds of cosmetic procedures, using the most advanced technology and facilities. No matter what you need, we will try our best to satisfy you! Is this your first time here? Do you have any preferred surgeons? I can help you arrange-"
The beautiful lady in a white coat was very enthusiastic. As she spoke, another staff member brought her a cup of chrysanthemum tea and told her that she could go sit on the sofa in the reception area to have a detailed discussion.
It was not her first time there, but everything had changed. Carolien smiled faintly and waved her hand in refusal.
"Is Guillermo Collins here? I'm a friend of his from his home country. Can you help me get in contact with him? Tell him that... Carolien Jones wants to see him!"
Looking at each other, the two staff members were obviously surprised. "You want to see the president?"
"Well... That's not up to us. I can only try to help you deliver the message. As for the rest, it's not up to me!"
"Okay. Thank you," Carolien said.
She stood in a corner of the hall, and her gaze wandered around. Her eyes swept across the people entering and exiting, then landed on the display board. Carolien could not help but take another deep breath. After a long while, she spun around on the spot. No matter how she tried to convince herself, the strange feeling in her heart wouldn't go away, and she couldn't even sit still.
She didn't know how long she stood there. Even after taking big breaths, she still felt suffocated. While she was hesitating about whether to leave or not, she heard the soft voice of a woman from behind her.
"Miss Jones, was it? Please come with me!"
Turning around, Carolien saw that it was the staff member who had welcomed her earlier. She nodded and followed the lady.
They went straight to the sixth floor. At the door to the elevator, the staff member entrusted her to another woman. This time, the woman spoke in Carolien's mother tongue, "Miss Jones, Mr. Collins is waiting for you in the reception room. This way, please. The corridor has just been sterilized. It's a little slippery, so please be careful."
"Thank you."
Carolien's heart leaped to her throat in an instant. She looked at the well-dressed, stern, and beautiful woman in front of her, which caused the corner of her mouth to twitch. The woman stopped at the door of an office at the corner of the corridor.
"Aren't you going inside?" Carolien asked.
"Mr. Collins prefers silence. He doesn't like to be disturbed."
The woman's attitude was professional, and her hands were placed over each other in front of her. She was serious and didn't have a smile on her face. Instead, her eyebrows were slightly furrowed. Carolien was still puzzled.
