......
What? The swimming pool was a shared one?
Even then, it cost around 50 thousand a night. In that case, wouldn't it cost even more to have a private swimming pool? It had to cost at least 60 or 70 thousand. To take things further, having an infinity pool with a view would likely cost 100 thousand or more.
D*mn it!
Why did he have to stay in such a luxurious hotel?
Even if she used up all her savings, including Alistair's education fund, she wouldn't be able to stay there for a single week. Was the place made of gold or silver? Why was it so expensive? It was ridiculous!
It hurt. It hurt so much that she wanted to die.
Carolien looked around and felt a little embarrassed.
If she wanted to live in a cheaper hotel, all she could do was leave the area. However, there were no cheaper places nearby. Regardless of whether a cheaper hotel was to offer her a place, it would probably be too late by the time she arrived. Even if she stayed in the relatively low-grade places outside that hotel, it would still cost 20 or 30 thousand dollars a night. The key point was that those were two independent regions, so she wouldn't be able to come and go as she wished. If she didn't stay in that hotel, her trip would be in vain.
Should she stay there or not? It was so f*cking expensive!
D*mn it!
It seemed that she had to bite the bullet.
Otherwise, her first-class ticket would go to waste.
Well, she had to at least give it a try.
Carolien gritted her teeth and handed over her ID card. "For now, I'll stay here for three days."
It would be best if she could deal with things swiftly. She couldn't put all her eggs in one basket, since there was the risk of failing. After thinking about it, she figured it would be better to check out earlier.
At this point, she wasn't paying for accommodation. It was a straight-up daylight robbery.
After taking the room card and the main door's access card, she was also given a bunch of coupons. Carolien was breathing so heavily that she felt like she couldn't bear it anymore.
The room was large and decorated with a trendy Scandinavian design. It was simple, yet fashionable. The space was huge, with a middle-class feel to it. The room was so aesthetically pleasing that it looked like a display set. Everything was detailed, from the huge bed and sofa to the small decorations and teacups. Right then, however, Carolien couldn't care less about anything other than the money she just lost.
Closing the door, Carolien threw herself onto the bed. He howled and cursed Elijah. "It's so expensive. There goes my money!"
What a spendthrift. He was just on a business trip, so why did he have to book such an expensive place to show off? It's not like anyone knew who he was!
"Argh! Argh!"
She clutched her chest and wailed for a long time before sitting up again. Carolien blinked, seemingly feeling better. She looked around and let out a grave sigh.
She had no idea if she would ever get the chance to stay in such a luxurious hotel again. Either way, the money was spent, and she couldn't let it go to waste. She decided to just enjoy it.
After getting up, she briefly unpacked her luggage, then walked around the room. She proceeded to grab her pajamas and take a bath.
She closed her eyes in relaxation. In her mind, she was busy scheming, but in her heart, she was silently slandering a certain someone.
