Sitting in his lap, Carolien's soft lips brushed past the corner of his mouth. Instinctively, she placed one hand on his chest and the other around his neck.

She raised her hand and rubbed her nose that was red from the fall. She was in so much pain that her eyes turned red.

Her action made Elijah's body to heat up and his body turned as stiff as iron. He was nearly in flames and his face darkened.

She looked up and saw that he looked like he was about to eat her. Caroline's heart skipped a beat. His expression looked so horrible. Did she anger him?

She could not offend him!

She was afraid that she would go for wool and come home shorn. Raising her hand, she pointed at her own position and explained seriously, "I... I didn't mean to!"

Just now, she really wanted to get up!

Because of her sitting posture, there was no external force supporting her and pulling her. She could not get up at all. She moved slightly. When her hand moved towards his chest, she heard a low but furious voice.

"Don't move anymore!"
