......
Following a series of rapid footsteps, several strong and fierce-looking men dressed in black stood in front of them. The crowd cleared out an empty space in an instant. The big movement also attracted a lot of people's attention. The surrounding area froze and silence clung the air. Time seemed to have stopped.
The man in the front picked up the man by his collar and said angrily, "How dare you cheat?"
"No, no! I really did not?"
Raising his hand, the man acted like he was about to strike but his hand did not make contact. "You still dare to quibble? Do you know where this place is? How dare you cheat? Are you tired of living?"
"No, I really didn't—"
"Then what is this?"
With a roar, the man slammed down his hand. With a crack, he swiped the man's trembling face with a poker card, leaving a blood trail behind. The man writhed on the ground, screaming in pain.
"Ouch! It's not me, it's really not me!"
"The proof is right here! How dare you quibble! Drag him out!"
The man waved his hand. Two other men dressed in black picked up the man and dragged him to the door with great power. The man howled like a pig. After a short silence, the room was filled with noise and excitement. Wherever the man passed, his pained howls were drowned out by the crowd's exciting roars. He didn't even attract any attention as he was dragged out of the door like a pig. When he was thrown out of the casino, the men dressed in black gave him a few punches and kicks enthusiastically. One of the men lifted his foot and pressed on the fat man's palm forcefully.
"We're just teaching you a lesson this time. Next time when you go out, keep your eyes wide open and stay honest. If your hands are not f*cking honest, don't take them! Can you remember that?"
"Ah — "
He bowed his body, cried out miserably and continuously shook his head. "My good man, please spare my life. I didn't cheat. I really didn't!"
"What did you say? You're still quibbling? Will you stop only when you are close to dying? Do you want me to teach you a lesson again? Think again before you speak! Tell me, is your hand honest?"
The man stamped hard on the ground, and the warning was obvious. The man was in so much pain that sweat beaded down his forehead. The next second, he shook his head and nodded.
"Yes! Yes, I cheated! I was dishonest! Please spare my life. I won't do it again, I really won't do it again!"
"Good thing you're smart!"
After saying these words, the man stomped on the ground once more and stopped. He looked at the man with his mobile phone. The other man, who had been filming with a phone, also nodded and stopped.
"Scram! From now on, you're not allowed to enter the Eighth Casino. Otherwise, we'll beat you up every time we see you!"
After scrambling about a few times, the man ran away.
Several men dressed in black quickly gathered around their leader. They couldn't help but smirked lightly. The leader took the mobile phone and waved his hand, and everyone quietly disappeared. The entryway regained its emptiness and peace once more. Under the soft light, it was a peaceful and beautiful scene, as if nothing had happened.
When Hudson and Elijah walked out of the door, the man respectfully handed over his phone, "Mr. Luther, Hudson!"
