Lillian seemed to sense Selena's anger, but she just smiled lightly and asked, "Selena, how does Stanley compare to these three treasures for you?"
Selena was Lillian's opponent. How could she be so careless?
To Selena, Stanley was like Robert to Lillian.
These so-called treasures were nothing more than material possessions to Lillian.
What she truly wanted was not these things.
Selena's eyes showed a hint of coldness as she laughed and said, "A regicide executioner... how can he compare with Stanley?"
Lillian lowered her gaze and remained silent.
Bianca looked at Selena's unpleasant expression and thought that she was afraid. She regained her confidence and said, "Miss Turner, don't just sit there daydreaming. It's your turn now."
As Selena pondered what could surpass the Bodhi Bone in front of her, someone suddenly burst into the room carrying a long box. He respectfully placed it on the table in front of Selena and said, "Miss Turner, my young master has a gift for you."
Winnie saw the box and her heart skipped a beat. She seemed like she wanted to say something but ultimately stayed silent in place.
Selena focused on the box before her - it had deep red carvings that gave off an air of solemnity.
She lifted the lid gently with one hand revealing a golden light pouring out from inside - illuminating everything around them instantly.
Even though they hadn't seen anything yet, everyone who saw the beam of light felt their hearts skip a beat.
Alisha looked at the light in surprise and suddenly thought of something. She turned to Winnie and asked, "What is this?"
Winnie clenched her fingers and whispered, "The Poole family is in charge now. Everything is up to my brother. Besides..."
She glanced at Selena before continuing, "The Central City has been too oppressive. The Poole family can't just stand by and watch H Country lose face on its own turf."
Alisha's expression was complicated as she ultimately turned away without saying anything.
Bianca had been confident before but now she looked a bit nervous. Could it be that this woman really had something more valuable than the Bodhi Bone?
Under everyone's gaze, Selena gently opened the box.
Inside the yellow inner box were various scriptures engraved all over it. In the center lay a one-foot-long stick-shaped object.
It was entirely golden with seven differently colored gems embedded in an exquisite manner along its edges.
It looked like a weapon but upon closer inspection it wasn't quite so simple.
Everything fell silent as even Lillian who had been carefree until then focused her attention on it slightly.
Even if they didn't recognize what this thing was, just looking at it made them feel an unprecedented sense of solemnity and sanctity that made them afraid to disrespect it in any way possible.
Selena lifted her hand and took out the object from inside the box causing its radiance to surge greatly while making Bodhi Bone inside its white box dim down considerably for an instant.
Bianca's face turned pale. "It's impossible... it's just a golden accessory, at best it looks good. How could it compare to the 'Bodhi Bone'?"
If her actions caused harm to her entire family, it would be a disaster.
Bianca felt extremely fearful and stood there in confusion until she suddenly heard Lillian's voice say, "You've seen the first two treasures already. It's time for the third."
Lillian's calm voice jolted Bianca back to reality.
She remembered bringing in a third treasure from Central City and felt joyous at its value compared to Selena's first two treasures. As long as they won with their third treasure, Selena would still be considered a loser despite having more items than them.
With this thought in mind, Bianca's expression improved as she looked over at Selena's table with envy and resentment suppressed within her heart before turning towards the last unopened box.
Lillian kept an eye on that third box while speaking softly,"It seems like Selena is very popular in the capital..."
These two treasures came from different families which Lillian could tell at first glance. Not to mention that she had already investigated everything about Selena in the capital and knew that many men were attracted by this cousin of hers.
Selena's lips curved into a smile. "Why, are you interested in my love life?"
Lillian let out a small sigh. "You've always been liked by everyone since you were young, unlike me - cold and tough. I just never expected..."
Her gaze became playful. "Selena, have you ever considered Stanley's feelings while being with your boyfriend?"
Selena's eyes turned cold as she looked over at her. "What exactly are you trying to say?"
Being with Osvaldo, did she consider Stanley's feelings? Shouldn't he be happy for her finding someone to rely on for life? Selena remembered what happened after Stanley came to the capital city and furrowed her brows.
Lillian gave her a meaningful look. "No, nothing really. I just suddenly thought that if I were to get married someday, Robert would also be happy for me."
