After Diana finished her hysterical outburst, the entire conference room fell into an eerie silence.
Selena lazily leaned back in her seat, with a slightly chilling curve at the corner of her lips.
Hattie, upon hearing these twisted accusations, immediately wanted to jump up and hit Diana.
Leon held her back, "You can't hit her here, otherwise I'll have to go save you."
Hattie raged, "I'm underage and have a mental illness. If I beat this bitch to death, it's her own fault!"
Leon remained silent.
Upon hearing Hattie's words, Leon was reminded of the information Osvaldo had just given him... a hint of bitterness welled up in his heart.
"What nonsense!" Leon held the girl tightly in his arms, "If you really kill her, Selena will teach you a lesson."
Hattie's anger had reached its peak, but she suddenly froze upon hearing Leon's words. "But brother, this shameless woman... she..."
"No one will believe her!" Leon spoke softly, with a cold stare at Diana. "She will pay the price soon enough!"
After Osvaldo and Selena left, Diana and the other three mechanics were left waiting in the forest for several hours until the Union University's aircraft finally came to pick them up.
Upon disembarking from the aircraft, Diana overheard people on the street discussing the fact that the Turner family had brought Selena to the research institute for a meeting.
Fearing that Selena would steal her thunder, Diana hurriedly rushed over with the other three mechanics and immediately shouted out her accusations without waiting for an explanation.
Diana had originally thought that Henry and the Shaw family would immediately confront Selena after she spoke. However, the entire conference room remained silent, and everyone's eyes were fixed on her with a strange look.
Diana subconsciously looked at Freddie, but instead met with a man's eyes that were so cold that they had no warmth. This frightened Diana and caused her to shudder.
She suddenly realized that she might have been too late. Selena and those military academy students had probably already told everyone everything.
Diana hated Selena to the core.
She stared at Selena fiercely, with an evil expression on her face. Even the burning pain all over her body was forgotten. She shouted angrily, "What I said is true! Selena and the military academy students conspired to murder the mechanics at the research institute multiple times. She even wanted to silence us all... that's the truth!"
"You can't be fooled by them, believe me, not their word!"
Diana turned around and looked at the other three members of the research department behind her.
Miriam was scared by her bloody face and immediately nodded, "Yes, I can testify that what Diana said is true. Selena is ruthless and plotted to harm the mechanic of the research department. The evidence is solid!"
The other two mechanics moved their mouths but didn't make a sound.
Under Diana's sinister and terrifying gaze, they nodded in panic.
"Yes... it's true..."
"The fact is indeed so..."
Selena looked over curiously, "Your father?"
Patrick smiled, "Your father's older brother, your uncle. He, like you, is an outstanding commander."
Selena moved her gaze away and didn't dare to look at Patrick's eyes, feeling a faint bitterness in her heart.
At least she still had her mother, but the person in front of her had been an orphan since childhood. Not only that, he had been tormented by the virus for many years...
Patrick sensed her sudden discomfort and thought of what Osvaldo had said to him in the morning, sighing slightly. "Selena, no matter what happens, you are still the young lady of the Turner family."
But what if she wasn't really a child of the Turner family and was related to those who had destroyed the Turner family?
Selena avoided the topic as if escaping and looked ahead. Principal Marshall had slapped Diana twice and apparently felt that punishing a woman like her was beneath him, so he threw her out.
"Mr. Matthews, you saw it too. What is this woman? I'm taking her with me today. Does the research institute want to stop me?"
Henry took a deep breath. Even though he was used to conspiracies and tricks, Diana's stupidity had made him lose his sense of measure.
He couldn't understand why someone as smart as Diana had made such a big mistake on her own. "Principal Marshall, let's deal with her after the meeting is over."
Principal Marshall sneered and returned to her seat.
At this moment, Diana finally realized that something was wrong and looked up at everyone present.
