Badboy Ace novel Chapter 23

Ryn's pov

Suddenly the sound of the gunshots seemed to have ceased. Ace and I look at each other in alert. He puts his hand on the trigger and slowly comes in front of me in a protective stance.

I glared at his back and let out a huff. "I can take care of myself Ace." I whispered.

He snorts. "What are you going to do with a broken chair leg?"

I don't bother to answer but crawl to the back of the counter. "Where are you going?" He whispered when he noticed me going behind the counter.

"I'm being the smart one, they'll not spot me first behind the counter. I'll have the upper hand." I retort as I finally disappear behind it.

I looked around for anything I could potentially use as a weapon but couldn't find any. Guess it's me and that broken leg.

The sound of a gunshot had me startled and I swiftly peeked to see if Ace was alright. I let out a sigh of relief when he seemed unharmed. From what I could see there were about four men who now blocked the entrance of the restaurant all heavily armed.

They all shot at Ace who smoothly dodged all of them and within seconds he had reached before them. He reaches out and slams one onto the opposite wall.

Before he could get another one in, a blonde haired one holds him in a choke hold and points the gun at his head. My heart drops in the pit of my stomach at the sight and I stood up as a way to distract them. It worked and Ace successfully gets out of the hold and disarms the guy.

I start making my way towards them but someone prevents me. Whoever it was held me tightly around my neck preventing me from moving. The broken chair leg I held falls and I quickly held the person's arm that was now choking me.

Using it I hold myself up and push my legs out to touch the counter. As soon as my feet had touched it I used it to push away with force, the result made whoever held me to be thrown into the opposite wall. We both fell with a loud thump and I successfully got out of the hold.

Turning around in a scotch, I gasped at who I saw. "You're working with Robert!" I accused him. This is why he hadn't come out of his office when he heard the gunshots. It was his plan all along, he must've given Robert a heads up about Ace.

"Of course I am bitch." George says before kicking me in my chest. I fall backwards and he uses that opportunity to crawl on top of me. He uses his weight to hold me down and wraps his hands around my neck and applies pressure.

"I've been dying to get you under me, under different circumstances Of course but who says I can't fuck you before we kill you?" He chuckles and pressed his bottom half on to me. Revolt suddenly rocks my body and now all I wanted to do was kill this bastard who had it coming.

I brought my legs forward until both were in front of his face. Using them I lift up my bottom half effectively making him loosen his hold. I wrapped my legs around his neck and used it to send him forward.

He falls face first with a grunt and I use that advantage to turn around and get on his back. I spot the broken chair leg at arm's reach and grabbed it. I lift up his head using his hair and brought the broken chair leg to his neck. Gripping both sides I began to apply pressure as the satisfying sound of him choking reaches my ears.

"This is why you should've treated women with respect. Go to hell asshole." Was the last words I had spoken to him before he had stopped struggling letting me know he was dead? See Ace this is what I can do with a chair leg.

I move away from his body and rub where he had gripped me around my neck. I look at his motionless body and kick him. You deserved it you sleazy bastard.

"I knew you fantasize about us fucking in an office but bellissima this isn't the right time." He smiles and walks up to me.

I push him away and roll my eyes. "We're getting out through this window." I pointed at the window that overlooked another building.

I walked towards it and swiftly opened it, after putting one of my legs over it, I looked at Ace. "You coming or not?" I asked when I caught him staring at my exposed ass. I knew the skirt had ridden up when I lift my leg to put it outside.

He gulps and nods. I pushed my whole body out of the window and fell on to the ground with a silent thump. I looked back at Ace after fixing my skirt. He follows suit and together we walk to the back of the building.

After seeing that there was another alleyway that led to where I had parked my motorcycle we walked there. No one was around when we reached by my motorcycle, the streets were cleared of people, it had seemed the shoot out had scared them away.

"I'm driving." Ace suddenly says when he sees that I was about to hop on.

"No you're not." I spat.

"Yes I am, now give me the keys." He says. I was about to retort when the sight of an approaching police vehicle silenced me. I groan and nod quickly. We really needed to get out of there quickly.

He smirks and hops on, I follow after him and wrap my hands around his torso. He visibly stiffens and starts the motorcycle and speeds away.
