Baby I'm A Sinner novel Chapter 33

"The question is do I want a hotdog or do I want popcorn?" Emma asked a later that while we were walking towards the entrance to the football pitch, ready for the second game of the season.

"I'm going to get popcorn so you can get the hotdog and then eat from me." I offered and she smiled.

"That's the best idea I've ever heard so far."

I shrugged and tugged my skirt further down. I was wearing a skirt because Luke said that he liked me in them, so I was just trying to please him-and also, I was trying to come out of my so called 'shell' and I was doing this new thing where I tried not to care what people thought of me. It wasn't going well at all, but I was still trying.

The bleachers were already full but Luke had saved us a seat in the back, were we also sat last time.

"Hey babe." He smiled, voice obviously rough from the cold, and pressed a kiss to my lips after we sat down. "Nice skirt."

"Thanks."

"Aren't you cold?"

"Not yet. Why? Do you want to be a gentleman and give me your jacket?" I laughed.

"Yes I am."

"I'll pretend to be cold in a few minutes then."

He pinched my cheek and put an arm around me, pulling me into him.

Fifteen minutes later they called everyone's names and the player appeared on the pitch one by one. When they called Noah's name, I couldn't help but notice that he once again started looking through the crowd but didn't find who he was looking for, which made him bite his lip and turn his head.

"Who is Noah looking for?" I asked Luke, whose hand was now on my thigh under the dress.

"I don't know? Maybe a girl to shag tonight after the bar."

"Oh."

That made sense.

They ended up winning (of course), 2-0 for us, which had everyone celebrate and carry Lucas (who had scored both of the goals) on their shoulders into the changing rooms.

"Come with me to the bathroom." I asked Emma, who was busy on her phone.

"I can't right now."

"But I can't go alone."

"I'll come with you." Luke offered, laughing, but I was too serious so he ended up accompanying me to the bathroom.

"We going to the bar after this?" I asked Luke once I came out of the stall and washed my hands.

"If you want?"

"I want."

We took a picture of us together in the mirror, which I then set as my background and also posted on Instagram.

Emma texted me that they were waiting for us in the parking lot, so Luke just intertwined our fingers as we started walking down the hallway.

Everyone was indeed waiting for us in front of the school by the stairs, talking loudly about the game and how they will get 'mortal' as soon as they got to the pub.

I made sure to congratulate Lucas on the amazing way the played and he smiled, hugging me and thanking me. He smelled good and was happier than I'd ever seen him.

Once again, we got two spacious booths next to one another, and I sat down between Harry and Luke. Harry recommended me the Polaroid so I just ended up ordering that. Well, Luke ordered for me but anyway.

Fifteen minutes later when I took the first sip I actually liked it. It was Vodka mixed with something and tasted really good.

"Are we going to the club after this?" Noah asked, looking around the table at no one in particular.

I turned my head and looked questioningly at Luke, as if to ask him whether he wanted to go or not. He shrugged and shook his head. Of course I could go without him but it wouldn't be as much fun and he'd probably get mad.

"I don't think we're going." I told Noah, who frowned.

"Since when are you two married?"

Luke raised his eyebrows and I placed a hand on his thigh to calm him down.

"I'll walk you home okay?" he whispered into my ear a few minutes later when everyone had already ordered a hookah and pulled out their cigarettes. I nodded and leaned into him.

Everyone ended up leaving for the club around half past ten, except of Luke and I. He called a taxi and then we made out in front of my house for about ten minutes before he said that he was freezing and tired.

"No one but come oooon. You're fun."

"Hmm... who else is there?"

"Sean and Kylie left but everyone else is here."

"Fine. Text me the address."

"Alright." He said excited. "Wear a skirt."

And then he hung up, leaving me confused as to why he wanted me to wear a skirt.

I took a quick shower after I purged, and dressed up. I put on a different pink plaited skirt, a white crop top that was going to be covered by my black hoodie anyway, and black Vans.

I applied some mascara and managed a remarkable winged eyeliner before I put my keys, wallet, and phone in a small clutch.

I called the taxi when I was already outside so I wouldn't wake my parents, and after I told the driver the address Noah had texted me, I was on the way to the club. It should've worried me; how easy he could manipulate and talk me into doing something I wasn't really in the mood to do. It wasn't normal for someone to have that much power over someone else.

When I got there the line wasn't that long so ten minutes later I was already in the front, but the bouncer stopped me.

"Can I see an ID?"

Shit

"Um...okay."

I pulled out my wallet and handed him my ID, but he shook his head when he saw the birthdate and handed it back to me.

"You can't enter if you're a minor."

"But-"

"There's a taxi station around the corner."

I huffed and stepped to the side to text Noah to come get me. After five minutes of waiting outside in the cold, he finally emerged at the double doors and pointed at me while talking to the bouncer and handing him some money. He nodded and then Noah made a sign for me to come in.
