Sarah’s world plunged into darkness as she was rendered blind. Unable to work, her life was ruined. She was desperate, contemplating suicide. But now that she was blind, even death seemed like a luxury she couldn't afford.

Word of this got to Elijah. Travis called him and explained the situation. Since it involved Violette, he had to let him know.

"Sarah's in a bad state. She's okay when she's asleep, but when she wakes up, she starts screaming, saying that Violette gouged out her eyes...”

Elijah asserted, “I sympathize with what she’s going through, but Violette couldn’t have done this.”

“I agree, Violette isn’t capable of such a heinous act. But seeing Sarah like this, it’s heart-wrenching. She’s carrying Kaleb’s baby, and while the baby is currently unaffected, if her mental state doesn't improve, it might affect the child." Travis sighed deeply.

"I'm heading over now," said Elijah, his handsome brow furrowing.

On his way to the hospital, he pulled out his phone, found Violette's number, and considered calling her. After a moment's hesitation, he decided against it.

She couldn't have been the one to do this. So, he shouldn't bother her with it.

But if not her, then who could it be?

Sarah was carrying Kaleb's child, making her life revolve primarily around Kaleb. It didn't make sense that she'd crossed anyone. Could it have been one of Kaleb's enemies?

Upon arriving at the hospital, he went straight to the ward. Before he even reached Sarah's room, he heard her shrill, agonized screams.

"I'll kill Violette! I'll kill her! She made me blind! I won't rest even as a ghost until she's dead!"

Elijah immediately thought back to the incident the day before. So the woman who pulled Violette's hair was Sarah!

But even if they'd argued, Violette wouldn't have resorted to such a cruel act. He remembered Violette mentioning the incident and dismissing it as a minor issue. If she held a grudge against Sarah, she wouldn't have been so nonchalant about it.

"Everyone, please leave. I need to speak with Sarah alone," Elijah demanded, his voice deep and stern.

Travis and Kaleb left the room immediately, and the nurse attending to Sarah also stepped out. Only Elijah and Sarah were left in the room.

Sarah reached out, her hands groping in the air. "Elijah..."

Elijah held her hands. "I'm here, Sarah. Why do you say Violette gouged out your eyes? Did you see her do it?"
