"You guys aren’t going to get him?!" Sterling's eyes were bloodshot. He pointed his finger at every staff present. Then, he strode toward the stairs.
If they were not going to get him out, he would look for him himself!
Hesitation flashed in Nicole's eyes. She wanted to call him. However, in the end, she did not say anything. She followed him silently.
A group of staff were all looking at each other. No one dared to go up to stop him.
The White family was incomparable to the Harris family. However, they were not someone that people like them could offend.
"Are you looking for me?" At this moment, the elevator door opened. Charles came out while pushing Leah in her wheelchair.
Hearing his voice, Sterling turned around. Without saying anything, he raised his fist, throwing it directly at Charles.
"Sterling!" Nicole hesitated for a moment. She stopped in front of Charles in the end. She quickly shook her head in front of Sterling.
"Get away!" Sterling pulled her away. He walked a few steps toward Charles. Holding his collar with both hands, every word was squeezed out of his throat. "Harris, are you even a f*cking human?!"
Nicole pulled his arm. Her voice was choked. "Sterling, don't do this."
"Spit it. Are you?" Sterling stared at Charles. Tears suddenly burst out of his eyes. He freed a hand to wipe them. He then shouted, "So, only the woman you like is a human and my sister is not?"
There were more and more people in the hall. Some were even secretly taking pictures.
"Do you think this situation is looking good?" Charles ignored the angry Sterling. He faintly looked at the crowd of onlookers.
Everyone quickly put down their phones. They dared not take another shot.
Marie cat-walked out of the elevator. Her eyes were sparkling with water. "Everyone, please be aware of the situation and delete the photos and videos. After that, go back to where all of you should go."
The large crowd promptly scattered and left. However, many people turned their heads and looked back as they walked.
"Leah broke a leg. You broke my sister's leg and sent her to prison for two years! It wasn't clear who was right and who was wrong back then. Even if it was my sister's fault, what she should have paid has already been cleared. Why are you still not letting her go?!" Sterling was emotional. His expression was sullen as well.
Charles glanced at him indifferently. There was a chilly tone in his voice. "Let go."
"The worst thing my sister has ever done in her life is that she was blinded by love and liked you!" Sterling clenched his collar hard. His eyes were scarlet. "Charles, let me ask you. Are you the one who scalded Soph’s legs?"
Leah, who had been silent this whole time, explained hurriedly with an anxious and guilty expression. "Sterling, Charles is not to blame for this incident. I accidentally scalded Sophia's leg when I was holding the teapot. I will pay for her medical expenses. I will also go to the hospital the next day to apologi-”
Bang!
Sterling let go of Charles. He then flipped the wheelchair in a fit of anger. He said mockingly, "Pay for medical expenses?"
He took out his wallet. Taking out a wad of cash, he threw it at Leah’s face. “I’m not short of money! Is this enough to cover your medical expenses? If not, I f*cking have more!”
He took out a bunch of bank cards from his wallet, tossing them all at Leah's face.
Leah laid down on the ground in embarrassment. The wheelchair was pressed on her lower body. She wanted to push the wheelchair away. However, she did not have enough strength to push it away.
Money and cards sparsely fell on her as well as her surroundings. Her face was hot. The pain in her body was far less than the embarrassment in her heart.
Nicole stopped Sterling who still wanted to beat up Leah. She whispered, "Forget it, she is a woman after all. She might not have done it on purpose. Also, she apologized."
Marie responded lightly. She gracefully walked over to the reception before ordering the young lady.
"Charles, don't call the police."
Leah grabbed his sleeves, shaking her head. Her eyes were wet. "Ster did this only because he was angry. After all, it was my fault. If I hadn’t accidentally spilled the water on Sophia, this wouldn’t have happened."
Sterling had arrived at the entrance of the clubhouse. However, he rushed back fiercely after hearing this. "Damn you, I am most f*cking disgusted by innocent-looking, manipulative b*tches like you!"
He lifted his leg, trying to kick the wheelchair. However, Nicole used all her strength, dragging and stopping him.
Sterling clenched his fist tightly to stop his movements. Staring fiercely at Leah, he spat on the ground. "You’re truly f*cking disgusting!"
"Sterling, you..." Leah's eyelashes trembled a few times. She choked into speechlessness.
Nicole pulled her lips hard. She apologized to her with an awkward smile on her face. "Sterling’s only acting like this because he is furious. Ms. Jones, I apologize in his place. Sorry, can you not call the police?"
"Just let them report it. You really think I’ll be f*cking afraid?" Sterling snorted, forcibly pulling Nicole out.
However, the two security guards called by Marie had arrived. They stopped them.
Seeing this, Nicole was so anxious that she wanted to plead to Charles and Leah. However, Sterling stopped her.
Charles' expression was indifferent from beginning to end. There was not even the slightest change. However, as he caught a glimpse of the blisters on Leah's hand, Sophia's hideous-looking thighs flashed in his mind. It made him furrow his brows very slightly.
He walked to the back of the wheelchair. Then, he pushed Leah out of the place.
